I hope that we will get an influx of designers that grew up on narrative focused systems and i really want to see what they can come up with.

We know that audience is there for this from the start (OG charisma and pacifist fallout runs and up to modern bg3 content)

Tbf, the problem with the barrages was logistics and that enemy had defenses to hide even after mass bombardments.

You make shell that seeks enemy soldiers and is way easier to carry, faster to deploy and guarantees disablement if it hits = barrages become wat scarier.
