Just had a spontaneous defrag memory recovery from my birthday weekend. I was on edibles in a hot tub, trying to remember Markiplier's name for some reason. In desperation, I called him "FNAF YouTube Macklemore" and with both immediacy and resignation, my friend knew exactly who I was talking about.

For those who can, here are links to donate directly to local efforts on the ground resisting ICE's terrorizing of Minneapolis. Let me know what you donated to where, and I'll match it until I get a panicked call from my bank!

A video of Alex Pretti reading out the final salute of an unnamed veteran he cared for until the end of his life in the ICU, posted to Facebook by his son.
Who, in their right mind, would ever think we're "running out of good ideas"? Only conmen would invent a problem to then sell you a solution you don't actually need.
"Restart the world's idea machine"? What the fuck are you talking about? Seek help.

At the ICE raid and subsequent community resistance in Paramount, California this morning, this skater kid ate dozens of munitions from Border Patrol agents, walked away slowly and flipped them off.
nowhere near LA but rightly horrified and don’t want anyone scooped by ICE or local cops to spend a second longer with them than can be avoided? these links may help.
I am severely in love with how the trump/musk manly-man fans are trying this “people aren’t used to seeing how masculine men argue” thing. yes bros that’s right. being a messy bitch online, that’s real alpha behavior. if Achilles were alive today he’d be in Hector’s mentions on social fucking media
Anyway, it did. Here's a nearly 14 minute long version of Fourth of July you've never heard before.
Happy 2025. We're all gonna die.
I have an intimate familiarity with the record that's not dissimilar from the way you can navigate your own house in the dark. I've spent a lot of time in here and maybe that's what made me unprepared for the 10th anniversary release to surprise me.
Carrie & Lowell came out a little under a year before my mom's death. This album did some heavy lifting for me afterwards. I have always felt connected to her through it, obviously because of the subject matter, but also because I know it's one of the last things she listened to before she died.
A photo taken in a lush PNW deciduous forest full of green ferns and other plants. The camera is focused on an orange and white dog who is resting easily on the top of a moss covered tree stump that is several times his size. He is making soft eye contact with the camera and his mouth is open with a lolling tongue in a way that looks friendly and content. A pre-dusk sunbeam is filtered through the leaves of the canopy and falls across the scene, bathing the dog in a line of golden light.

An illustration of a monochromatic red fish dangling somewhat ghoulishly from a thin grey fishhook piercing through its lower jaw. The illustration is bookended by red text on the blue-black background that reads: WHEN YOU FEEL LIKE A SCARED ANIMAL REMEMBER THAT YOU ARE A SCARED ANIMAL
Photo of an orange and white dog diving into the blue water of Deception Pass, a spray of white water splashing around him. He is chasing after a driftwood stick which hangs in midair, moments before hitting the water. In the distance there is a domed green island covered in evergreens and cumulus clouds in a pale blue sky. The beach is made entirely of small stones.
Moya! 🖤🖤🖤
This made me smile because I have also done this!
