The #mtg offering from a UK highstreet retailer (that I really rate for the record).

One lone Lorwyn Precon and the rest is TMNT and ATLA. Either Lorwyn was so popular that it flew off the shelves, or UB is too lucrative to waste shelf space on other products. Either way I think this blows.

Just picked up some packs from 'Got it, Got it, Need it' in Margate and they had some #Adventuretime Play Packs from Cryptozoic Entertainment in stock. What a strange little product. (Stoked that I pulled a "Princess Glitter" Princess Bubble Gum!)

#mtgstrixhaven is only the 2nd(?) return set of a previous Plane that was also itself a solo-set, and like Wilds Of Eldraine it's absolutely ramping up all the best elements of it's first slightlty mid outing and tweaking some of it's less popular aspects. It's looking so good!

If they binned Companion and picked either the Pokémon lite buddy theme OR the Kaiju/monster hunter theme and committed to it, then Ikoria would be a banger return set.

The human factions and Biomes alone are far more interesting than the setting got credit for.

My deck building challenge for myself in '26 is to only build V1 of new decks with cards I already own. And after two decks built this way so far, I have happily not noticed a huge difference in power level, with most of the cards being made up of pre-'21 era magic.

I'm wasn't that fussed on the studenty learning angle. But I loved wizardry being seen through the lense of art, performance and archeology, plus the art design or arcavios is beutiful

Eirdu & Isilu, Mourning Light - Commander (Eirdu, Carrier of Dawn // Isilu, Carrier of Twilight) A deck created using Moxfield.

My new years #edh resolution is that I can only build version 1 of a new deck by using cards I already own, even if "key" pieces are missing (Commanders can be proxied).

Do we rekon that Daybound//Nightbound was being primed as a #mtglorwyn mechanic, but because it bombed, they went with the activated transform instead?

It's kind of sad that the day/night symbols aren't on the Lorwyn cards, even though the mechanic is obviously clunky

#mtglorwyn is so fun! Played Pre-release and went to battle with W/G Kithkin. Although the real MVP was Eirdu//Isilu that won almost every game it was played (which was alot, very lucky draws).

Def gonna be my first #edh build of the year, may even have a deck ready for Monday night games...

Got it all sorted ready for my big divider boxes and then found another misc bundle box worth of cards...that's a job for another day I guess. But the decks got dismantled and thanked for their service, which is the main thing.

Sat in my narrowboat with the fire burning, spending a cozy winters Sunday tackling my magic pile of shame...

4 Edh decks to be dismantled, 1 bundle box of rares, 3 small boxes of misc cards and 11 opened boosters, all for sorting
