Ouroboros - Chapter 1 - ada frogg (anomieow), anomieow - The Terror (TV 2018) [Archive of Our Own] An Archive of Our Own, a project of the Organization for Transformative Works

Hello! I have recently finished “Ouroboros”, in which Goodsir, Collins, and a symbiotic slime symbolizing grief navigate love. It’s been years in the making and I’m very proud. I hope you read it if you’re so inclined.

How it feels doing literally any task right now.

listen i love ao3 as much as the next guy but ive seen people quit fic writing over the past few years because people comment and engage with authors way less, and then everyone still freaks out when ao3 goes down- if a fic is irreplaceable to u, let the author know!

Onfim’s drawing of himself on horseback as a warrior defeating an enemy.

Two of Onfim’s works. On the left is a copy of a passage from the Book of Psalms he did for schoolwork. On the right is an apparently autobiographical depiction of a monster labeled with “I am a wild beast.”

Some more spelling practice by Onfim with some human figures who have round heads and varying numbers of fingers on their big hands.

Onfim’s writing practice accompanied by 7 little people in his particular drawing style, who tend to have very big hands with many fingers.

Nice AI-image-generating tool, but it will never be as great an artist as Onfim, a child who lived in the Novgorod Republic in the mid-1200s and who scribbled these drawings and schoolwork writings on birch bark at the age of 6 or 7.

If you evade suffering you also evade the chance of joy. Pleasure you may get, or pleasures, but you will not be fulfilled. You will not know what it is to come home.

I am letting myself be less hopeful, more petulant, lately. I think it’s work I need to do, even if the #poetry it makes is messier.

Dumb bluesky question: how do you get your posts on a specific feed? Do you use keywords?

Same. And as an adult I’m like… wow, never got over it actually

Ouroboros is this for one person (except they were an adult when they read it) and I’m very proud of that

DOCTOR: I told him he needed to get out to a show, that was how he would cure his depression.

CHOTINER: So you learned this technique in school?

DR: No, not— listen it was good advice. Pagliacci was in town.

C: Right. Is it standard to give advice before learning a patient’s name?

DR: Now look

I have this inability to judge time. I am either disastrously late or insanely early because I just can’t do Time math

I love re-reading my own fic except for when it’s so good I think I’ll never write that well again.
