Oh hell yes - sweet potatoes are just what you get if you take all the good things out of a regular spud. They can get in the bin.

Picture of two white daisies taken on Easter Sunday.
Wishing you all a happy and peaceful Easter. Just remember to pace yourselves with the Easter chocolate, so you don't eggsplode🤣
These cheerful flowers were photographed by me on a less than cheerful day, following my father's funeral. Due to COVID restrictions there was only mum, me, my brother and the vicar in attendance.
Today marks 6 years since Dad's passing; it simultaneously feels much more recent and much longer ago.
So I'm remembering my dad's sophisticated humour; when I was 6, my new teacher was called Mrs Armstrong. From that day, Dad always referred to her as Mrs Legweak, which he found utterly hilarious😀
Saints preserve us from this kind of nonsense🏳️🌈
Some pink and white flowers in a wooden barrell-style container. If memory serves taken in about 2010 in Spitalfields, London
Thinking of everyone for whom today is a difficult day❤️
Number of guys in shorts with great legs is frankly ludicrous today. Thank goodness I’m such a cerebral and spiritual person😇
Another delightful letter from Thames Water suggesting I could do my a bit for the environment by getting my bills electronically. Of course, if they really cared about the environment, they’d stop dumping shit into the rivers.
Traipsed into town to get some new work trousers from the Marks at the TCR end of Oxford St only to find post-refurbishment there’s no menswear there until end May. It challenged my customary fluffiness🙄
Poster for the sci-fi film Mercy featuring Chris Pratt and Rebecca Ferguson
This wasn't a terrible choice for my first film at the cinema for 2026, but it squandered an interesting premise and the talents of Rebecca Ferguson.
A lead with more range than Chris Pratt might have improved things too.
I misread that as “hairy-dodgers” and I just thought, who in their right mind would dodge hairy?
Post a perfect album from the 90s that isn’t Nirvana, Pearl Jam, Soundgarden or Alice in Chains

Well, that episode was the very definition of "fuck around, find out" #TheTraitors
I had a ZX81, then a VIC-20 and finally a BBC B. The first computer I had that wasn't integrated into the keyboard was a Mac Classic II which I got with the original Stylewriter printer and MS Word on a stack of floppy disks. At the time, was the largest cheque I'd ever written😮
This is how I imagine tonight's episode of #TheTraitors is going to go down after yesterday's antics.
I had three of those🙂
Tonight’s episode was the very definition of “…and then it all kicked off” #TheTraitors
Have had to put the heating back on. It’s a beautiful day in London but it’s bloody freezing🥶
I think I've peaked for the night by watching the Death in Paradise Christmas special so I'm wishing you all a healthy and happy 2026 before I inevitably nod off on the sofa.
Morning! It's the best time of the year - nothing to do but eat cheese and watch Worlds Strongest Man🧀🏋️♂️
Plus we got Kate going all Dirty Harry. It was frankly bizarre
Not fully, but as good as
Well, after a promising episode last week, the finale of #TWBTLATS was a massive disappointment
They're all great but the B&W is my favourite
Let's see you at 21.
I was in my hair gel era, but facial hair and checked shirts were yet to be discovered.
Just listened to it. It's everything you said it was and more🙂
Fourth episode of The War Between the Land and the Sea was better than the first three episodes combined. #TWBTLATS
Fundraising emails with the subject line "My 4th attempt to reach you" are ever so slightly irritating🙄
Middle-aged bear in a checked shirt with a greying beard and a slightly perturbed expression post having a tooth out
A Marks and Spencer raspberry jelly trifle which I'm certain meets the dentist's definition of soft food
Guess who's got a checked shirt and one tooth fewer than he had this morning🦷
Also, I'm taking my dentist's instructions to only eat soft food very seriously
That pendant is ace (in the 70s/80s sense of the word)
