Remembering Theo today. Born 30 years ago today, he lived for 17.5 hours & changed everything for us. We started @groupbstrepsupport.bsky.social so other families would have the information and support we never had, and to stop this happening. So grateful for all the support over the past 30 years.

The FPTP electoral system has many faults, and of course it needs replacing, but one thing the system does have is the ability to destroy political careers by NOT electing a political leader to parliament. .... Are you listening Clacton???

The Times - front page of their magazine reserved for Mandelson and not the victims.

Katy Balls hang your head in shame.

My evening out… giving blood!

Feeling grateful for all the amazing donors who roll up their sleeves and quietly save lives.

Someone very close to me has benefited from a stranger’s selfless donation, and I am so grateful.

Thank you to everyone who gives - you make such a difference. ❤️

One of the first things a Farage government will do will be to make sure "the young are
taught correctly about our history," and if that doesn't set off all manner of alarm bells then it should. (MAIL)

I do think that if the main public health message from the authorities to the population is get the flu vaccine then the flu vaccine should be free and readily available for all. That’s not the case at the moment.

If someone invented a miracle pill that reduced your risk of cancer, heart disease and strokes as well as boosting mood, memory, and lifespan it would be the most popular drug ever. Except we already have it and it's called exercise, and most people can't be arsed doing it.

‘Concerning’ lack of female-only medical trials in UK, say health experts Exclusive: doctors and patients forced to make decisions in ‘vacuum of evidence’ as women under-represented in data

Today’s @theguardian.com piece by @andrewgregory.com exposes a critical gap in UK medical research: women, eso those pregnant or breastfeeding, are under-represented in trials, & too few focus on women’s health. We need research that reflects women’s lives.

Private social media message reading: "So far this week, one day my child got harassed and humiliated in school changing rooms. Another day her English lesson covered the debate over trans rights where she listened to ignorant class mates outline how trans women can make women uncomfortable, and came home asking whether they have a point and whether her existence actually is a big problem (she hadn't heard that transphobic argument before). She didn't feel able to speak at all in that debate lesson. She came home in tears both days. What a spectacularly shit country we have."
