I will never survive "beautiful bean footage" and startled my cat because I guffawed.

I'm sure this has been suggested by many people, but if you watch The Ring (Japanese or American, I'm not picky) as Lord of the Rings ancillary media, I will move up to the $10 level to hear it and statistically will then feel very bad about going back to $5 so I won't go back. That's several $s!!
@hankgreen.bsky.social Hank, where did that chip bag go when my bean was done with it? Where did her water come from?? I NEED TO KNOW.
How is your cat a mirror-flipped image of my cat?!? Delight!
Slightly diminish a book?

@hankgreen.bsky.social How do I explain to Harmonybean that I interrupted her to use my camera to zoom in on a yellowjacket (maybe a hornet? idk) that was menacing the cat and my intervention saved both of our lives? Asking for a friend (who is a bean).
I can only encourage this.
It is the middle of the night so I think it is safe to declare I made a thing. Enjoy The Cat, an unofficial playbook for #courtofblades by @acoupleofdrakes.bsky.social -- my favorite #forgedinthedark game. You can play the Game of Houses as the most unexpected player: a cat. harmonybat.itch.io/cat

The words "print it yourself, tabletop roleplaying game zine culture" are printed in a medley of typesets on a textured paper. One looks digital, another stamped, and the third is handwritten.
Do you design TTPRG zines that are explicitly designed to be printed on a home printer or even photocopied at the library? Can I give you a metaphorical soapbox to stand on while I interview you?
(I'd appreciate reposts on this one, I'm trying to reach more than just my inner circle)
Let me know if you have any St Louis questions or want recs!
I came here to mention this one.
Huzzah!
Huzzah!
We were promised a photo of the Tower (ish)! The episode is grand.
The group is still pretty close! It's been quite a time to be on that Discord.
Found it through a friend on alt.fan.neil-gaiman (didn't that get complicated all of the sudden).
A blue-point Siamese cast nearly blends in to a beige carpet. The cat is loafed in front of the wheels of an office chair. Some office clutter sits at the edge of the picture.
A black cat with a white patch on his chest and an orange bell is loafed on a white surface. His left ear is nipped and he has gold eyes.
Side and front loaves.
A sign from Evil Hat Productions atop some beautiful games in Booth 449 at Gen Con 2023. It reads: Stop Book Banning. Under Indiana HB 1447, a school librarian who puts this game on their shelves could be charged with a felony and sentenced up to 30 months in jail. This is a naked attempt to police free speech and erase LGBTQ people from public spaces. If your representatives support this kind of oppressive legislation, the creators and publishers of this game strongly encourage you to vote them out. Book bans are the tools of fascism.
We asked IPR to place this sign in their booth at Gen Con as a reminder that in Indiana and other states where conservatives hold power, the games you play could literally put a librarian in jail. Fascism spreads when you stay silent. Demand better from your representatives or kick them to the curb.
