Matt the Schnauzer, who passed away four years ago, loved this spot on the bed because he could lie there and watch the world go by on the street in front of the house. With the occasional bark to remind folks who was in charge. The north light through the window highlights his eye.

On this day in 2019, I witnessed one of the coolest things ever. A lenticular cloud lit-up by a setting sun over the Perito Morena Glacier in Argentina.

Due to the rocky ground and the small footprint of the Austrian village of Hallstatt, deceased family members are sometimes interned in the Bone House in the community’s cemetery. The skulls often show the year of death, with many going back to the 1800’s.
