My youngest had their pick of @mcbl.bike cargo bikes for our ride tonight (librarian perks).
They opted for the Urban Arrow & we had a lovely trip.

It was lightly snowing while I took the @mcbl.bike Radioflyer Via Pro out for a quick spin around the neighborhood to check that it’s in good shape after winter hibernation.
Our fleet is officially up to 15 bikes for this year! 🤯 🥰

I got to try a #LectricBikes #ETrike for a week thanks to @mcbl.bike. I didn't have a problem with it even though it was my first time on a bike in 40 years! I did get a little nervous if I took a turn too fast, thinking I would tip, and going over railroad tracks was a bit rough but it was great!

Would still love to pursue this! As the new board decides on our four year goals, I hope to make climate/VMT reduction a centerpiece.
I think partnering with y'all could be a huge part of that. With cargo bike libraries at our community centers everyone would have easy access to mobility!

We met with @olsenforparks.bsky.social last year re: exploring the idea of cargo bike libraries on MPRB land. Wouldn’t that be cool?!

Another option is to join a cargo bike group (like the Twin Cities Cargo Bike Love FB group) and see if anyone in there might live near you and be willing to loan you their bike for a few days?
Unfortunately we don't know of any suburban bike libraries yet, and aren't sure any bike shops in the suburbs sell Urban Arrows. You're welcome to test ride ours at a future event, if you want! We're hoping to offer test rides on May 16 11am-2pm (if we can get enough volunteers).
