Executive orders are not laws.
The President cannot make a law, he can only enforce what Congress passes. Trump likes to ignore that, and pretend that this EOs are laws. But Trump's EOs have often been found to be unconstitutional, and reversed.
What I find especially terrifying is that the Thirteenth Amendment (which outlawed slavery) specifically does not apply to convicts. They have to be "duly convicted", but that's not a reach for this administration - and then they'd have a "legitimate" pool of slave labor.

They are simply not accepting applications to change the gender marker.
The Constitution says that the supreme court justices "shall hold their offices during good behaviour".
To me this says the Constitution requires, at the least, an ethics standard, if not a board to determine when justices are no longer exhibiting "good behaviour".
