I found Kavalier and Clay to be the most moving as I really wasn’t expecting much as someone who enjoyed the book. But Turandot was my first time experiencing Michael Fabiano and I’m obsessed now.

What a treat to see 3 operas over the past week at the Met: The Amazing Adventures of Kavalier and Clay, Turandot, and Don Giovanni. I needed that dose of live music.

Just canceled my Hulu and Disney+. Good riddance.

Just to be clear: Brian Kilmeade *did not* endorse euthanizing homeless people. He advocated MURDERING over 700,000 of them.

And on a network that has been *beside itself* over the murder of just one man this week.

Finally got to see Buena Vista Social Club this afternoon. What an absolutely wonderful experience. I didn’t want the music to end and feel the need to get a night of dancing in soon. #theatresky

Breakthrough the noise:

This step in DC is a pilot project for militarizing other American streets.

President Trump just said so.⬇️

Even when DC violent crime is down 26 percent.

Disgusted by the vicious, antisemitic terrorist attack in Boulder today. Call it for what it is! It was a terrorist attack on AMERICAN soil. Pure, unfettered evil. We must not rest until we crush this hatred in our county! Standing with my Jewish friends!!!!

Trump’s executive order is a major step backward for civil rights in America. Let’s break it down: it eliminates a key protection called “disparate impact,” which has been used for decades to fight discrimination in schools, housing, and other areas.

Drifting to bed after a lovely first day of rehearsal. It’s truly a gift to be creating art in these extremely difficult times. #theatresky #mrsdalloway #cincinnati

See this is what I mean. Mississippi is a state with a 40% Black population. African American candidate Mike Espy garnered nearly 45% of the vote in the 2020 General Election for the U.S. Senate.

Why isn’t there a 10 yr Dem plan for organizing Mississippi? Why concede the state w/a 40% Black pop?

This is an obvious point, but cannot overstated. There is an enormous difference between deporting someone - where they get off a plane as a free citizen in their home country AND FUNNELING THEM INTO A BRUTAL PRISON FROM WHICH THEY HAVE NO CHANCE OF EVER EMERGING!!!

This is a reminder to find the small moments of joy. Last night, after dinner with 2 dear friends, we made our way to a local gay bar where the legendary Kevin Aviance was DJing. It was a much needed release to dance to really good music and free ourselves for a few hours in a queer space.

Many products sold in the U.S. are made in El Salvador. In response to the El Salvador president’s statements today, we’re calling for an immediate boycott of all Salvadoran-made goods. Please help by listing any products or brands made in El Salvador in the comments below.

Who’s In and Who’s Out at the Naval Academy’s Library? An order by Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth’s office resulted in a purge of books critical of racism but preserved volumes defending white power.

Adolf Hitler's “Mein Kampf” is still on U.S. Naval Academy shelves. “I Know Why the Caged Bird Sings” and “Memorializing the Holocaust” are not.

An order by Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth’s office led to a purge of books that are critical of racism — but preserved volumes defending white power.

The stock portfolios of more than two dozen members of Congress outperformed the market in 2024.

This isn't due to luck or skill.

Lawmakers can use privileged information to trade stocks while they’re supposed to be working for you.

Make no mistake, it’s legalized corruption.
