RIP to former Illinois House Majority Leader Barbara Flynn Currie. She carried “heavy lifting” and budget bills and did it with expertise and professionalism not often seen. She carried some extraordinarily complicated bills for me. She was tough as nails and wonderful to work with.

Today is the last time I deal with Third Reading Deadline for bills in their Chamber of Origin. Another deadline hit on the march to the end of my last legislative session. Counting the months till retirement. 😂
