We're two sides of the same coin. I'm predicting you'll be very impressed with the film because you'll hear their voices and see their physical "mannerisms", etc. And I'll probably be moved by some deep thought in the book that could only be conveyed in words. π
Never read the book, but my god, the animated version was beyond devastating, like "Threads" (1984).

Yeah, cheap thin wires in the arms & legs. This Mars rover is cool, never saw that before.π
I had the mini-tractor version like the one you posted months ago.

and Joanne Linville! Her riveting performance as a powerful Romulan Commander in Star Trek TOS (1968) was ground-breaking & edgy for that time.

Phyllis Diller sang?? π
Her wiki says she played the piano too!
Great lady who 'opened the door' for so many other women back in those days. πͺ π

Dwight Frye's performances in many films were way beyond just being memorable.
Universal should've moved him up a notch or two, to at least lift him up & out of that "character actor" category.

Thanks! π
Ahh! I thought of β¨Enyaβ¨ instantly while listening, but I didn't want to mention her, as not to disrespect Moya's passing....I didn't know they were sisters. Thanks for that Mohicans clip, beautiful song, powerful scenes...haven't seen this in years, might watch it again soon π¬π₯π
I wasn't familiar with her until I saw your post & listened to the whole album. Such a beautiful voice, and her angelic backups too...loved every cut. ππ―

(As widely popular as he's been for decades, you'd think there'd be a little Superman emoji on this thing. Batman too.)
Guillermo Del Toro's "The Shape Of Water" (2017)
Great cast,
and Jack Palance was the "lit fuse" in any movie π

Haven't read the book yet, but absolutely loved the movie.
Lionel Jeffries 'stole the show' π
1. George Benson - This Masquerade
2. Joe Cocker - Ain't No Sunshine (Bill Withers cover)
3. Janis Ian - At Seventeen
4. Sade - Maureen (upbeat but a tribute to her BFF who died)
5. Luther Vandross - Dance With My Father

Lots of tv hype for this, but it ended up being one of those duds you lost interest in after 30 minutes & then kicked it under the living room sofa to make your parents forget all about it after you had literally begged them for it ππ€£
