A Reddit Masterclass.

I keep saying it but Reddit is a gold mine

Unbelievable.

I had a bug with the like function for 6 months and never fixed it fully.

This is why testing is important, because I would've seen this bug and fixed it.

A few months ago, I realised something:

Finding a cofounder sucks.

Everyone tells you to “network” or “just meet someone,” but where? How?

So I built DevMarket, a platform for non-tech and tech individuals to build cool startups together.

It's a great starting point for startups of any size. I would love to see what you think.

Finding a cofounder is tough. Starting off right is even tougher.

So I made this user-friendly agreement generator for building startup agreements.

It's designed to be fully customizable with clause suggestions and templates.

Returning to an old codebase and upgrading things is a pain.

Sometimes I wonder why I did things a certain way, and now the codebase is a mess.

How do you deal with situations like this?

Now I never have to worry about weird authentication-related bugs.

Many thanks to the genius open-source community behind this project.

If you used Next.js for a long time, you would likely have trouble finding the perfect authentication solution for your apps.

Next-Auth was the de facto solution, but now I've migrated my main project devmarket. pro to Better-Auth instead.

It was a crazy operation but it was worth it.

1k karma on Reddit!

And no, I didn't get it by farming memes.

I wrote blog articles in the programming subreddit and marketing posts in side project subreddits.

I'll link some of the posts in case you're interested in checking them out

I feel like being active on social media stops me from doing deep work.

Sometimes it gets very distracting and tiring.

Does anyone feel the same way?

However, switching to SES is a necessary step as you scale, especially if your application relies on email.

Take the extra effort to learn it, you won't regret it.

Say goodbye to Resend for emails.

Don't be afraid to learn SES and save a fortune on automated email sending.

Don't get me wrong, Resend and similar software are good in the beginning.

A Stripe payment of $11.69 has come through.

This is less compared to a few months ago, which is a reminder to work harder and build up the income streams again.

At the end of the day, $11.69 is better than $0, and I'm grateful for every dollar that comes in from my side hustles.

We are so close to getting 200 active devmarketers onto the platform.

Major thanks to everyone currently on the platform.

Worked on DevMarket for the first time in a few months, happy to get back into it.

I made a few UI changes, and I'm working on a fix for the payment flow since I've had many complaints from early DevMarket customers about it.

The focus will return to helping people find the perfect cofounders for their startups.

We will bring the user count up for DevMarket (currently just under 200), and we aim to increase the activity on the platform.

For anyone still looking for a cofounder, the link is here: devmarket. pro

So today we get back into building full-time, and I look forward to a conversation that I will have later today with plans to potentially scale up DevMarket

For anyone still taking exams, best of luck.

10 months ago 0 0 0 0

With the exams finished, I feel a massive sense of relief and motivation to get back to building cool software full-time.

This was the most difficult semester I've ever experienced, and it managed to shift my mindset, which was laser-focused on building SaaS.

Sometimes, you just have to express gratitude for people like @shadcn for how simple yet clean our apps look.

This sign-in form is a great example of that.
