A reminder the PWHL regular season ends Saturday with a possible win-and-in, lose-and-out game between Toronto and Ottawa, 2PM Eastern on CBC (if you can pick it up in Buffalo) and the PWHL YouTube channel (in general).

Not just that, but many of them unironically tell men that it's gay for them to sleep with women.
And I think I logic-bombed myself writing that sentence.
I'm going to miss Hang Up and all the great conversations I've heard between you, Lindsay, and Ben, and earlier between Stefan, Josh, Joel, and Mike.
Besides Split Zone Duo, Burn It All Down, and Effectively Wild, what other intelligent, literate sports podcasts do you recommend?
Heck, the original Night Court had an episode where Dan Fielding catches up with an old friend, only to discover Chip has blossomed into Charlene. And Dan Fielding, the sleaze, came to accept Charlene as she was.
Oh, and everybody had to explain the concept of "transsexual" to Bull the bailiff.
As an aside, some Aussie Rules team has to crib "The Victors" for their club song the same way Sydney Swans (née South Melbourne) stole the Notre Dame Victory March ("Cheer, Cheer the Red And the White").
Rick stands here symbolically for all the Sabres fans who can't see or hear what you will see and hear ahead, the generation that passes the torch (mic) to today's fans. As someone who remembers him from the Toronto FC radio calls, you got a good one in Dan Dunleavy to pick up the call.
I'll bite. What skills are they testing in SEC Equestrian, and I assume it's distinct from rodeo?
INCREDIBLE STUFF!! “And while the IOC says the SRY gene "represents highly accurate evidence that an athlete has experienced male sex development,"… the scientist who discovered the SRY gene in 1990, Andrew Sinclair, has publicly opposed using the test to determine biological sex.” MY GOD
America: Last in War, Last in Peace, and Second in the World Baseball Classic.
Venezuela 3, USA 2 in the Championship Game might have a metaphor in it somewhere.
It's not even an original stripe thing on the sleeves and helmet! The Nashville Predators executed the guitar string motif on their uni numbers far better!
I suppose the Titans are going to install a guitar-shaped scoreboard in their new stadium to rip off the AAA ball team next....
The original NBA on NBC never had a score bug, but they did have a full score bar with clock after every basket and on many possession changes, so you (or at least I) didn't really care that much that it wasn't there continuously.
Here in Canada, pretty much all appointed government positions (including judges and senators) have mandatory retirement at 75.
Interestingly, any major public inquiry is usually chaired by a retired judge. Some "retired" judges also return to private law practice, at least part-time.
Picture of Marjane Satrapi alongside a quote from her. The quote reads: The world is not divided into countries. The world is not divided between East and West. You are American, I am Iranian, we don't know each other, but we talk together and we understand each other perfectly. The difference between you and your government is much bigger than the difference between you and me. And the difference between me and my government is much bigger than the difference between me and you. And our governments are very much the same... - Marjane Satrapi, Iranian-French graphic novelist
Thinking about this quote from Persepolis creator Marjane Satrapi again.
60-Meter Dash. It's the standard indoor sprint because it's the longest length of straight track that can fit in most indoor arenas (like, hockey rink-sized).
Love something as much as the Dutch love clowning the world in speed skating.
If there's any consolation, the 3x3 overtimes are extended to 10 minutes followed by a shootout in the knockout rounds, and to indefinite 20 minute periods in the Gold Medal Games.
The women are using the same rules. FWIW, the last two World Women's Hockey Championships went to overtime.
Like, the Sac State-Big Sky divorce was sudden and somewhat acrimonious. There was a decent chance the Hornets would have to play as an FCS Independent in 2026 before the MAC news today.
I think Sac State is assuming Causeway Classic rival UC Davis will be moving to FBS before too long - UCD are becoming a non-fb Mountain West member next year while remaining a Big Sky football affiliate.
Sac State is leaving the Big Sky for the Big West next year. It may have been a messy exit.
Kurt Browning in doing colour work for CBC's Olympic figure skating coverage.
Also obliged as a Canadian to throw out the names of Toller Cranston and Brian Orser.
Is this a plea to get random compliments from the Internet?
Whether or not it is, I don't have a full enough data set to call *anyone* the prettiest girl, but you are pretty damn pretty!
US Olympic Curling Team member speaks out against ICE:
"I'm proud to represent Team USA. But we'd be remiss if we didn't mention what's going on in Minnesota and what a tough time it's been. What's happening is wrong. There's no shades of gray."
Cheer for an entertaining game in which nobody else gets hurt (poor MPP and her knee). I think, on both sides of the border, we want both teams as healthy as possible before they (hopefully) meet again in the Gold Medal Game.
John Furlong (Chair of VANOC) reportedly said the thing he was most afraid would happen during the Olympics was the Canadian men losing in the hockey final. Considering the riot that happened the next year when the Canucks lost Game 7 to Boston, he mightn't have been wrong.
Chappell Bone playing on the Puppy Bowl. It’s a puppy chewing on a blue and orange puffy thing
Don’t know who needs to hear this but one of the puppies on the Puppy Bowl this year is named Chappell Bone
My favourite cop shows are Barney Miller and Hill Street Blues - mostly because of the strength of the writing and the depth of the characters, but also because I can still watch them with my streaming subscriptions.
Hey, Dick Van Dyke has made it to 100!

The threshold for worldwide sporting boycotts seems to be a shooting war.
And hey - all else fails, they could move games from the USA to Mexico and Canada.
