I wish I was going to Katsucon again in 2025, but I'm skipping it to go to Japan instead! One of my goals is to visit a storefront for Metamorphose temps de fille, a lolita designer brand that makes plus size dresses. As long as USD to yen conversion rate stays in my favor I will have my shot 😍

The outfit that I'm wearing is in the style of lolita fashion, a Japanese substyle influenced by Victorian, Rococo, and kawaii aesthetics. I like to wear lolita when I present my research at anime cons- I think this is more my personality than what I wear at most academic conferences (˵ •̀ ᴗ - ˵ ) ✧
