Recently took a peek at Twitter and the disinformation is getting substantially more dangerous. Someone could get killed.
The tactics of constantly repeating outright lies, targeting specific people, repurposing years-old footage and presenting them as new is getting to another level. It’s scary.

I have so much to say about today’s case, legal analysis, and more.
But the most powerful thing today was watching Chase Strangio argue in front of the court as the first trans attorney to do so.
You could feel history, and nobody will ever take that away.
Good news everyone!
The Montana Legislature has just voted no on banning Rep. Zooey Zephyr from the bathroom.
Representative Beady, a Republican, said that banning her would "only serve as a distraction," and “will only have the effect of making certain people famous in the news."

“Don’t feed the trolls” also extends to bad opinion pieces in papers of record.
They run them bc people react to them the most.
If we stop linking to bad columns and instead post thinkers we find valuable (& generate convo around it), incentives change.
It’s not easy and takes constant practice!
Every job should pay enough that working full-time earns you enough for:
- a place to live
- nutritious food
- healthcare
- enjoying life
- saving for the future
WOOF, not sure if this is actually true, either way I’m laughing nervously 😭
You are not going to believe it when I tell you the first example that this NYT article uses to encourage not being confrontational over transgender rights is that we were too confrontational towards...

I think what is really jarring about the capitol bathroom ban, is that DC is one of the most trans-inclusive cities in the world. It has the highest trans population in the United States.
Every business is trans friendly in bathrooms.
McBride can use the women's bathroom anywhere BUT the capitol.
I’ve been thinking about how we take care of each other best in these absolutely wild times. At least so far, I think my activism is one part dialogue with ignorant white ladies, one part therapist, and one part music. What’s yours?
There have been a lot of times where I feel like we need to have honest discussions on the left about what has worked and what hasn’t, share observations without judgement, but it feels like there isn’t much space for it. I think it’s holding us back.
I wonder how and where we can accomplish that.
i think chappell roan should be an even meaner lesbian in 2025

Earnest post, but: a thing I like here is it’s okay to have moments of happiness in public without being broadly scolded, and I believe that sustaining this kind of humanity will be very important as we resist fascism.
We have to sustain each other. Making joy isn’t denial, it’s how we will survive
