Oh this is REALLY good.

Was gonna be like, "and after all that, it's so early in the season that the Mets are just x games out of first" but actually, 8.5 does seem like a lot.
At least they're only tied for last in the East.
It is not advantageous to other NL Central teams that he may have Figured It Out.
John Cougar Mellencamp voice:
Tomah native joins Angels' George Klassen (Port Washington) as Sconnies to make their MLB debut this year. Klassen has made two rocky starts, allowing six earned runs over 4 2/3 innings with 10 walks and six strikeouts.
My head went to, "Only one start for Ashby? That's disrespectful."
I bet the secret is "hit the ball to right and see what happens."
The perfect song for the moment.
And no Biloxi has won. It was very Brewers-y.
Down to Biloxi's final out and trailing 4-2, O'Rea singled, Made walked and Blake Burke smacked a game-tying double.
Dylan O'Rae just stole his fifth base of the game at Class AA Biloxi, setting a Shuckers franchise record. Big year for him thus far bouncing back from major injury that cost him all of last year. Up to 13 steals on year. Also a .989 OPS for 22-year-old.
Yep! Put that in the story, plus a great quote from David Weathers about it.
Did I turn this into a story? Yes I did. www.jsonline.com/story/sports...
Yes lots of very timid-seeming swings, BUT he had 34 career hits and five XBHS, including two triples (one with MKE, one with ARI)
omg it's 5x as good as you are picturing. Richard Hidalgo (Astros) ran into the wall and was seriously injured. D'Amico should have gotten home but ran out of gas. Hidalgo had to be (stretchered?) taken out of the game.
Pitchers with triples besides D'Amico:
Steve Barber (Pilots)
Jason Bere
Jim Colborn
Doug Davis
Scott Karl
Lew Krausse
Wes Obermueller
Manny Parra
Hideo Nomo (!)
Eduardo Rodriguez (lone Major League hit)
Lew Ford and Alexis Rios, thank you for your contributions to baseball statistics zen.
Brewers players at 240lb or greater to hit a triple:
Corey Hart, 33 times
Prince Fielder, 9 times
Jesús Aguilar, twice
Gary Sánchez, twice
Rowdy Tellez, twice
Chris Carter
Jeff D'Amico
Juan Francisco
Rhys Hoskins
Lyle Mouton
Omar Narváez
Absolutely No. 1 on my list.
Searching at 240+, by the way, gives me Corey Hart and his 33 career Brewers triples and lol we did not appreciate how athletically gifted that guy was.
Nine. The answer is nine. That man had nine triples and two inside-the-park homers. We were so blessed.
Not me researching 250+ pounders to hit triples for the Milwaukee Brewers and PRINCE FIELDER HAD HOW MANY TRIPLES IN HIS CAREER?
Tomah alumnus about to make his Major League debut.
