Set playing game with interesting mechanics of picking up a played card in a set thus reducing its strength. Also cool that you can flip the cards so there’s more than one value per card giving extra choice. It’s a great palette cleanser after a crunchy game! #boardgame

Only Murders In The Building: The Game
Really fun light IP cooperative game. Take turns moving Oliver, Mabel, and Charles through The Arconia to collect clues. Solve the murder before the accomplice finds 6 clues. Link clues to check in the building if you solved it! #boardgame

SETI
I finally got to play SETI! I love space themed games and movies! It is a crunchy game but manageable. Good replayability. I liked the moving solar system mechanic and the upgrades. We discovered both alien races and had a blast playing! #boardgame

Yeah so many to choose from! I love crunchy games but it’s nice to have lighter games too!

Perfect camping game! Tried the 6 player variant and didn’t like it easier to get skunked on opening set requirements. Play 30 points to open the game. After that, you can play on other sets on the board. Sets are: a run of 3 or 3 of a kind numbers (different colors.) #boardgamw

The Guild of Merchant Explorers

Interesting piece lying game. Cards flipped let players know what type of terrain they can put explorers on. Collect treasure and erect towers but make sure to fill a region and lay a village because all explorers leave the board at era’s end. #boardgame

Interesting card drafting game. Pink and/or blue cards get placed on your week itinerary. End game will “travel” & happen left to right. Color switches mean transportation change. Symbols on cards gain resources that may earn VP. Happiness is a meter to watch! #boardgame

When you’ve reached the last day of the boardgame convention and are feeling silly, you play a silly flicking game. Penguins try to collect their color fish and the pursuer tries to tag the penguins. It’s a kids’ game but sometimes it’s fun to just play something goofy! #boardgame

Draft base tiles to prep for laying personal shaped tiles later. Try to put your tiles near lights and in one big continuous group. Also you can draft postcards that have special powers or pieces. Fun competition for space between players. #boardgame

Fun quick roll and write. Active player rolls the dice & must score one. Colors go from left to right either ascending or descending. Inactive players MAY use a die. Gets super tricky as you go down the line. 5 marked numbers on a row can close out a die so it’s out of use! #boardgame

Fun dice game where you compete to draft elements of the game. Provinces, Patricians, and Senators. Place dice on buildings but not all dice placed will earn something. Later placements must beat the current values. #boardgame

Fun worker placement and set collection game. Place your bees on cards to earn those resources. Use the resources to buy cards. Some cards give a permanent resource and/or victory points. Interesting majority presence rule for discarding placement cards for workers. #boardgame

2 player Azul with different mechanics than the original. Draft tiles, dome tile, or bonus chip. Sun and moon sections of the factory add interesting drafting element. There’s also a big factory that houses the 1st player token. Different enough to be interesting #boardgame

Very fun engine builder game. Decide what phases you’d like to perform & bonuses help you do ones you didn’t pick too if other players did. Energy chosen determines the strength of action. Use resources to build and upgrade robots and powers. #boardgame

An interesting bidding game where you represent a country bidding on licenses. Dollar amounts are made up! Just like real life, haha! Just don’t be the person who spent the most or you automatically lose, everything else is fair game! You can bet 0 once per round too for pts. #boardgame

Interesting trick taking game based on the phases of the moon. Trump range changes based on card play. You only score if you get 1 trick (2 pts), 3 tricks (1 pt), or 5 tricks (2 pts). Game ends when someone scores 5 points. #boardgame

Fun party game. Get two cards, a person and a trait. Draw them on the caution sign but you only have 30 seconds! No guesser tries to match up the two cards to each drawing. Pretty tough because you don’t get much time to draw! #boardgame

Beautiful card game with interesting Beast cards that limit where you can place certain suits. Work together to use all the cards in the deck. 3 piles for a 3 digit number. Must increase the 3 digit number to play. There’s a wipe mechanic and some skip tokens. #boardgame

Fun roll & write with a Tetris twist. Roll dice to draw a shape with the color result of the dice # of squares. 2&3 square shapes are endless but 4&5 can only be played once by the group. Not active players X off tracks to earn abilities and extra die colors squares. #boardgame
