Just an FYI - the cuts in disability won't be implemented until 2026/7. This must be either a mistake or someone in the DWP has specifically targeted her award. I agree that CAB is your best bet. Best of luck.

Those most likely to need Fox News decoded are the least likely to believe the decoded version.
If the Baby Jeebus himself sat on their porch and told them personally that Fox News lies, they'd run him out of town on a rail. 'Y'all ain't my lord and saviour, you're a goddamn commie liberal!'. ๐Ÿ˜‰

I dunno, next you'll be telling me that not only is there an Aberdeen in Scotland, there's one in Australia, one in the USA and another in Canada. ๐Ÿ˜‰

His tweet reads like an abdication of responsibility. 'It's in God's hands' kinda shtick. America is smoldering and he's sitting on his hands. Maybe he'll leap into action when the flames are licking his feet...

Folk who have 'made it' seem to enjoy punching down. It's a national sport.

Ach, it's Malone and Pearson. They barely qualify as sentient. ๐Ÿ˜‰

File it under, 'Seen to be doing something'. I think there will be quite a few circumstances where the headline is more important than the effect. At least in the first weeks and months of this new administration.

It's cold, grey and quite miserable out there. This is a reminder of warm and sunny days to come. Photographed using the Carl Zeiss Jena Pancolar 50mm f1.8 in Elder Park, Govan.

The River Clyde, Glasgow. A view upriver taken from the Govan Graving Docks. On the right is the Science Centre, in the foreground is the Bell's Bridge and on the left there's a glimpse of the OVO Hydro. Photographed using the Super-Takumar 28mm f3.5:

You're very welcome. Borders/Central Belt/North East rural will mean you'll receive deliveries of groceries, Amazon, etc without hassle. North West and far North rural will mean very few, if any deliveries at all. Just something to keep in mind. ๐Ÿ˜Š

If I can give some advice? Don't relocate to Edinburgh unless it's for work. The cost of living, rent, etc is sky high. It's a tourist trap. ๐Ÿ˜Š Mind you, if you're in London, you won't be surprised by the prices. ๐Ÿ˜‰ Thanks for the FB.

The appeal to save the Wyndford Tower Blocks has been rejected. I took this photo in April 2021 using a Konica Hexanon AR 57mm f1.4 vintage lens. In the foreground is the Community Heating Plant and Energy Centre.

If you're interested in photographs from Glasgow, Scotland, give me a follow. My main interest is using vintage glass on mirrorless cameras. ๐Ÿ˜Š

Aye, it's been a bit Baltic this past week. The past 3 days alone have been -6c, -8c and last night, -7c. Brrr.

There's some very tentative snow in Govan. I don't think it's quite made up its mind. โ„๏ธ๐Ÿค”

Maybe this isn't an original thought but would it be fair to say there's no more 'Left' or 'Right'?
It seems to me that it's the political class and the voter.
They speak with forked tongue and we play our part in the game by continually voting for more bullshit.
Are they to blame or are we?

As an ex-SNP member trying to conduct a respectful dialogue with some of those that are left is near impossible. They go straight to abuse then block as if they occupy some moral high ground. Beware hubris, simply because your party is flying high today. A single election can change everything.

I didn't share any graphs - I replied to someone who did. Disagreeing with policy isn't bigotry. You keep on insulting me for no good reason simply because as an ex-SNP member I now support a different party than you. It says ALBA in my mini-bio. You need to take a deep breath and sort yourself out.

That's pure deflection. You've already made the accusation now back it up. Show me where I've taken a bigoted position. Disagreeing with policy isn't bigotry.

It grinds my gears that around a million 2nd votes were chucked away at the last Scottish election. For a gain of 2 list seats. It doesn't make any sense.

1 year ago 1 0 1 0

Which bigotry would that be, Lesley?

Bigotry:
the fact of having and expressing strong, unreasonable beliefs and disliking other people who have different beliefs or a different way of life.

Could you point it out?

Even if Alba hit just 30% of that target, that's 6 less unionists and 6 more Indy supporting MSP's. 20%? 4 less unionists. We've seen what happens when we give free rein to one party in Scotland. They veer off into supporting divisive pet projects, while sidelining their central purpose.

Syd, there are too many feelings involved in Scottish politics and not enough facts. I had voted for the SNP since 1983 and was also a member just not as long. When they didn't do what they promised multiple times, post 2014 - pursue independence as a priority - I had to find another vehicle.
