I'll say the Seahawks stay at 32. Mike Macdonald lost some depth at edge rusher. A lot of solid players at that position who could be available then, like Malachi Lawrence #MMQB

The smart move, if possible, would be to trade back a few times and get somewhere around 6-7 total picks. Seattle is obviously one of the league's best teams, but the Seahawks lost a lot in free agency as well

I wouldn't have a choice. My Mexican family would hate me for a month or two if I ditched them on my big day. We all gotta be together ... at home 😅

Teams that have been bad organizations for a long time. The Browns come to mind. The Jets have been picking high for years. Maybe they get it right in 2026.

In theory, teams with really high picks should nail them. But there's a reason they're picking early. Bad process, poor decision-making, etc.

If I'm the Jets, I'm using this year to bolster the roster before getting my QB in 2027.

Most people around the league think next year is a great draft for QBs. Plus, the Jets have three 1sts, giving them more ammo than anybody. As for AG, I think NYJ has to improve, but 6-7 wins and he's solid.

Hi, Jessica. It has to be Oline. C.J. Stroud took a lot of heat for his playoff performances, but he played behind a poor Oline and made it work most of the season. Max Iheanachor could be an option. I had him going to Houston in my mock #MMQB

Hey Mark! I think the Cowboys are more likely to trade up than down. Jerry is typically aggressive and Dallas might be able to get someone like Styles if its willing to get into the top six picks or so

I just finished my mock and I have 5 first round trades not counting whatever happens after the fact with AJ Brown. I think some teams (Chiefs; Rams) could move up knowing/hoping they won’t be that high again.

To me—and this is just my personal take—the late speculation is an invitation to trade up. I think the Jets have had their guy but are going through the typical draft smokescreen process.

19 hours ago 8 1 0 0

I don’t have a crazy QB prediction but I have a totally wild non QB player trade going live on tomorrow’s MMQB. Let’s just say Jeremiyah Love is involved.

I loved Mendoza's answer to @richeisenshow.bsky.social on this—he basically made it sound like draft night was going to be his thank you to everyone who made it possible. I'd probably want to go, but what he said made me think about it, Mitch.

19 hours ago 5 1 0 0

Well, it'll have to start with John Spytek and Klint Kubiak driving that—and putting the right people around Mendoza. But I actually think Mendoza's experience helping to change the entire dynamic of Indiana football is really valuable coming into the NFL. Football-wise, I like Goff as a comp.

19 hours ago 6 2 1 0

For sure. There’s still like 10 really good players in this draft and the Jets get one of them regardless.

19 hours ago 5 1 1 0

No, I think they move back. And I think it's the right thing to do. Between Darnold, Cross, JSN, Witherspoon, Emmanwori, Murphy, Williams ... they have their core. What they need to do is maintain their depth and balance. And you do that by giving yourself more swings.

19 hours ago 3 1 1 0

That’s hard to say with this class in particular because there are so few first round grades on players. So while there may be first round picks by name, we gotta be quick not to label them busts because in another draft, they’re second round picks

Hey Matt! I’d urge you to check out the latest edition of the MMQB pod. We have a great discussion about that there. But in short, I’d say Philly, the Rams and the Cowboys

The Pressure is Really on C.J. Stroud Now The Texans’ quarterback watched his salary get dwarfed by a teammate in his own draft class. A day worth celebrating in Houston has also shifted a spotlight.
