My @ERC_Research team continues to amaze! Significant X-ray detection from long cosmic filaments and warm hot intergalactic medium. This time by fantastic postdoc Xiaoyuan Zhang For more details see arxiv.org/abs/2406.00105 pic.twitter.com/zj2JwdUy41
Have you ever wondered about the nature of the Odd Radio Circles? We have an answer for you. These fascinating objects are due to the cosmic dance of two galaxy groups in #SpaceClover! Details of the publication are located at www.aanda.org/articles/aa/...
Submit your abstracts for the EAS Special Session SS30 today: "Large-Scale Structure and Cosmology in the Era of SRG/eROSITA and the Other Multiwavelength Surveys" eas.unige.ch/EAS2024/sess...
These results are brought to you by the fantastic team of dedicated and brilliant scientists of the eROSITA Clusters and Cosmology Working Group. I feel immensely proud to be the chair of this team! (14/14)

I cannot close this thread without mentioning the tightest constraints on the blackhole feedback in eROSITA-discovered galaxy groups by my graduate student @yemrebahar.bsky.social, released two weeks ago. (13/14)

The cluster evolution measurements rely on the mass estimates through weak gravitational lensing. This effort was a truly international effort that involved three large collaborations: the Dark Energy Survey (11/14)

All these groundbreaking results are thanks to the accurate modeling of eROSITA's detection efficiency and the selection function through eROSITA's digital twin. (10/14)

The spatial distribution of galaxy clusters provides an independent measure of cosmological parameters and a reliable tracer of the large-scale distribution of matter in the Universe. We independently confirmed the results by measuring clustering. (9/14)

The evolution of the clusters traces the growth of the linear density perturbations and can constrain the alternative gravity models. The current analysis has already ruled out a set of extensions of Einstein’s Theory of General Relativity. (8/14)

eROSITA maps the large-scale structure of the Universe! Superclusters are chains of clusters that mark the large-scale, overdense regions. In the first All-Sky Survey, we identified 1338 superclusters, the ideal sites to study structure formation. (7/14)

The eROSITA clusters catalogs, which are released today, enable all these exciting results. (5/14)

Another ground-breaking result is the constraints on the total mass of the left-handed neutrinos. Combined with the cosmic microwave background, eROSITA constrained their mass to be <0.12eV, the tightest constraint thus far. (4/14)

eROSITA data-alone measured the pressure of the dark energy with the highest precision compared to other multi-wavelength probes. These measurements are also in excellent agreement with the standard model. (3/14)
eROSITA data alone measures the amount of total matter to be 29% in the Universe. The clumpiness, defined by the S_8 parameter, is in excellent agreement with the standard model of cosmology and the cosmic microwave background observations. (2/14)
The most meaningful Valentine's Day ever for the @eROSITA_SRG
consortium 💕 Today, catalogs of more than 12,000 clusters of galaxies and the cosmology results they enabled were released (1/14)
