I wonder how much obtaining ASO titers or other images would tip you toward one diagnosis over the other?

Also how much we should let the strep pcr bias us as it could represent colonization

Curious to hear thoughts from #IDSky community on cases of young patients with sore throat, joints pain, fevers, elevated troponin and cpk..elevated CRP/ESR, positive strep pcr throat..when TTE looked NL/no valves damage..would you consider rheumatic fever? As this could be a viral myocarditis too?
