I'm watching the Battle of the Bridge. Just checked the score at Marginal Seat Stadium. Western Bulldogs confirmed flat track bullies?

The long term income/cost saving from producing power should well and truly cover outlay. Store it in batteries and run your stadium

When Nat Fyfe played his 100th game, Fox Footy had a segment on that being the best first 100 games ever.

The Beach Hut Murders by Peter Boland
A fun mystery and fast becoming one of my favourite series. Thought I'd picked it early but that was a red herring. Looking forward to the next edition.

Vaping shown to likely cause lung and oral cancer in strongest review yet, Australian researchers say ‘There is no doubt that the cells and tissues of the oral cavity, the mouth and the lungs are altered by inhalation from e-cigarettes,’ academic says * Get our breaking news email, free app or daily news podcast Vaping is likely to cause lung and oral cancer, researchers have found, as they urged regulators to act now rather than wait decades for a definitive level of risk. Cancer researchers led by UNSW in Sydney analysed reviews of evidence from animal studies, human case reports and laboratory research published between 2017 and 2025, in one of the most detailed assessments to date of whether nicotine e-cigarettes could cause cancer. Obviously it would be great if wait times were less. But for emergencies you get seen to straight away. If I developed cauda equina syndrome and starting peeing myself I would've been straight in

Yep. And no sales tax. We have a broad based consumption tax of 10% like the UK VAT, which gets distributed to the states

Taxes may be higher. I have no idea of the US system. But I'm happy to pay my taxes in the knowledge that if I'm sick I can go to the GP for free. My meds are heavily subsidised. And if I need an operation, I'll get it

Sounds about right. I recently had a microdiscectomy. Completely free. Waited 4 months. I was priority 2 with some weakness in my leg. But I wasn't dying. In that meantime my pain meds were part of the PBS and cost under $50/fn

I'll be surprised if the Chiefs ever play a game in the NRL

The correct answer is nothing changes. Because Chris can still have his office in Fairfield or wherever it is. He's still living a mere few km from the boundary. And we all get on with life. I agree 4-5 hours out of area is a bit rich. Unless it's a huge electorate and they're inside the boundaries

If Chris Bowen lived in St Clair, part of his current seat of McMahon. Then during the next election cycle St Clair was moved to Ed Husic's neighbouring seat of Chifley. Which member would you make leave parliament because they both now live in Chifley?

I think we're talking about two very different scenarios

This is hardly relocation. I agree with the sentiment that parachuting people into safer seats is bad policy. But making a member move house or change electorates is not good too

It's unreasonable to suggest a member simply change electorates because the boundaries shifted. Two popular, cabinet members live in neighbouring electorates. The Independent AEC changes the boundaries. You can't unseat one member because the other one needs their seat now.

An absurd game finishes only as it deserves. The rental Pezet ices a good attacking game with a try. Go Parra. Glad I napped all afternoon, I'll be up all night now #PARRAdise #NRLBroncosEels

Completely ridiculous half. Eels soft as butter first 20 minutes, yet somehow lead at HT and dare I say it. Look the better side?
