Aces! Splendid socks!

Here it is, my annual reminder: don't spray spring dandelions with roundup. One flower can be visited by 100+ bees in a day, and your chemicals will kill all of them. 🌻
Pretty!
Time to introduce our 2026 Sheep! Spring is the perfect moment to join our flock with the fields here full of lambs. The colours may look familiar as the tiny squares of this fleece are made with the different colours from our sock yarns. 36 colours in total! Now all we need is a name. Over to you…
Each 100g ball is 75% wool & 25% nylon, with 35% of the wool content coming from Bluefaced Leicester, making it one of the most sumptuous 4ply yarns around. #knitsky #handknitsky #woolsky 3/3
So we’re especially thrilled that our Yarndale Yarn, our exclusive collection of West Yorkshire Spinners’ award-winning Signature 4ply Sock Yarn, each colourway inspired by the different hues of our sheep, is now available on the British Wool website

🧶Working with British Wool🧶 We champion British wool: brilliantly varied, versatile & renewable. As the heart of the UK’s wool industry, British Wool ensures that every fleece is valued, from farm to finished product. And we’re keen to support their work.

That sounds brilliant. With that fantastic Johnny Cash track accompanying all the way.
JOY!
WIP Wednesday: working on The Plan. A wonderful jigsaw of woolly talent. It takes time, a whole lot of time & patience, to get it just right. Off to the Mart tomorrow to check a few things. Always good to tick BIG things off a list. What are you working on? Love to see your colourful woolly WIPs. 🧶
🧶😃 Applications for the Yarndale Start Up Bursary in Memory of Amanda Bloom & Jenny Machin are open! 😃🧶 A fantastic opportunity for a stand at Yarndale. We welcome submissions from all working in any discipline connected to wool or natural fibres. All the details: yarndale.co.uk/yarndal.../y...
Love a B side!
😀🧶24 weeks until Yarndale 2026😀 The weeks are ticking by...Have you planned your weekend yet?
Great shot. And such beautiful creatures.
A group of people walking along a grassy footpath in a rural valley, surrounded by dry‑stone walls. Several individuals are wearing warm outdoor clothing and hats, and one person is holding a lead attached to a dog walking ahead on the grass. Fallen autumn leaves are scattered along the path, and hills rise in the background with trees showing autumn colours. A stone building stands to the right side of the scene.
If you're in the National Park this weekend, please:
🚮 Take your litter home
🐕 Please keep dogs on a lead as it's lambing time
😊 Have a great time
Thank you!

Ooooh - there's Friday excitement!
So saddened to hear of Sue Maton's passing. She shared her passion for colour & design with the Yarndale community brilliantly & her talk last year was packed out. Sue will be much missed & her work treasured. Emma just finished her Crojo Retro blanket. Sue will be remembered in every stitch.
Happy Birthday!
Throwback Thursday & this week we’re heading back to 2016 when Flora joined the Yarndale Flock. Aww - just look at her tail! #ThrowbackThursday #knitsky
