Here's me doing the social media thing. A look at our upcoming events for 2025 so far!
New sticker design I’m getting printed for AC, IYKYK
I hear you. I've had a colposcopy and an endometrial biopsy and they were both more painful than just "cramps" The worst was they had to take a second sample during the endometrial. Those were mainly for potential procedures due to my PCOS and possibly endometriosis.
Oh and if you want to adjust the speed it should be on the embroidery mode setting screen after the tension setting.
And in my furious typing I realized the needle comment might be confusing lol. but the 75/11 is the size I use and I applique fleece on fleece frequently for projects.
I find my sewing janome tends to get a little finicky when alot of fleece lint and thread gets under the bobbin housing. Hopefully they makes sense and give you some things to try.
<nesting on the bottom I'd try to up the tension on the machine(photos show where it should be on the machine screen). I'd also pull the bobbin housing out and clean out and oil that part of the machine.
So a few things I'd look at. What needle size are you using? My embroidery needles on my babylock are 75/11 organ needles, The tension on the machine is auto set to janome bobbin fill thread, if you aren't using janome brand you could try adjusting the tension. With the embroidery top thread >
I can try and help. If I don't have an idea do have a local machine shop I purchased all my janomes through and I'm sure they'd be willing to try and give suggestions.. They've been super helpful when I've had problems. Can you describe what's happening or have pictures of the issue?
I don't just sew all the time. I enjoy getting to do scenic painting, and this past week I got the opportunity to help a local theatre with a few pieces. They aren't completely finished yet, but I forget how relaxing it can be
Love how you decorated it!
First con of the season this past Saturday. #NWIcomiccon is such a fun and cozy one day event, and I love getting to chat and connect with the other vendors!
I'm honestly so glad I stocked up on as much fleece as I could on the last sale Joanns had. I have not had luck finding a manu that makes the quality that I like that matches the antipill. Once I run out of my stock though I'll probably move to minky. Not sure what I will do for kigus/hoodies yet
You're welcome <3 They are super nice too! I might be biased but we love supporting fellow MI artists. :D
If you like the look of Ita bags I cannot recommend @luckycatmarket.bsky.social enough. I purchased one this past year and it has become my daily bag. The quality is super nice and it holds a really decent amount of stuff. I also like being able to change between a side bag and a backpack.
I've been prepping for my first convention and screaming into the void. I'd like to say I have photos to post, but it's been alot, and social media has not been the priority over trying to hold my mental health together.
Not headed to FC, but still want to get your friend something special?
We offer gift cards that are good both online and at in person events!
Treat your friend to something bright and fun in a far away Dealer’s Den- head over to contactcaffeine.bigcartel.com/gift-card to get started!
If you can find a used copy for inexpensive it's a pretty solid addition and one of my favorites.
Today I got nothing productive done. My stomach has been in know and I can't seem to distract myself with anything useful. So extra cuddles from the fur babies tonight and try to pick up again tomorrow.
I have a great book with ww2 rationing recipes. When I get back to my bookshelf I can send you the title if you would like.
Rest point. If you're doom scrolling today to cope. Take a minute and rest with our studio helper Franklin. Take all the time you need, here you are safe and welcomed. ❤️
Between commission work and prepping for my last con and applying to 2025 events this week has been hectic. But some new friends will be looking for homes at Grand Rapids Comic con!
Welcome new followers! I guess it's time to start using this app more than the other. I'm already bad at social media and posting myself! So I will try my best to start posting more of my work!
First event of the year yesterday and it was honestly wonderful to get out and chat with everyone there!
Wing cutting day in prep for my next 2 shows.
