a lot of people whose work I like is substack, and they'll never get a dime from me until they move somewhere else.

Gotta admit that my increasing hearing issues are causing a lot of isolation issues. I’ve spent years working on social anxiety, depression and finding communities to connect with to fight those issues only to feel alone again. #Deaf

This shot from Artemis II of the Moon eclipsing the Sun is one of the most breathtaking astronomical photos I've ever seen. Holy *shit*. [kottke.org]
Lunar flyby. Amazing that we can watch this in such good quality.
Livestream: Artemis II is about to fly around the Moon. At around 1:56pm ET, they’ll surpass the Apollo 13 distance record. And: “At their closest point, they’ll pass roughly 4,000 miles above the lunar surface.” [youtube.com]

First time I’ve seen it and I loved it. Fully expect it to be cancelled, but man did they go all out.
NASA just dropped this image of Artemis II astronaut Christina Koch looking back at us. The first woman to ever see our planet in its entirety. I’m not crying you’re crying 🥹🔭🧪 📸: NASA

Last week, @7streets got misty eyed riding the Royal Iris on one of her final crossings, so we asked him to write about it. As he explains in the piece, this is where his dad proposed to his mum back in 1961 — it has serious history 👇

Oh hell yeah, we're getting the variety of camera angles getting uploaded to images.nasa for the launch, and here's the view of the launch from the Mobile Launcher.

Only Paramount would celebrate Star Trek's 60th anniversary by telling its fans to fuck off.
I did, and theory of mind is not an autistic trait according to numerous scientific papers. So, something else then.
Thing is the queer community is usually very vocal about boycotting companies. I find it odd that so many passed on Substack. I’m curious about why one not t’other.
A man on the street was shouting “Jesus saves”. It’s good advice and a shame I didn’t have time to stick around and listen to Jesus’s backup strategy.
Panel 1: Bob and Bob sit on a bench outside, one of them is using a laptop. The first Bob says, "Bob..." The second Bob continues typing, not reacting. Panel 2: The first Bob says, "I want to thank you for being such a good friend." The second Bob keeps typing, still not reacting. Panel 3: The first Bob pauses and asks, "Wait... are you using ChatGPT?" The second Bob continues typing, showing no reaction. Panel 4: The second Bob is now alone on the bench, looking surprised.
Being autistic is hard sometimes because one day everything is very clear and the next everyone else seems in on the unwritten rules that were posted overnight and I missed them.
My autistic little brain still can’t process how people can take to the streets to say no to facism while holding a sign saying “please subscribe to my Substack”. It confuses me. Thought people knew Substack was the Nazi bar. Is it? Am I over thinking and harming myself more for ignoring the space?
