First sketching of base colors. Not happy with the face and pattern inside the cloak, but I have to trust the process and see where it goes…

Honestly I’m a great fan of Unit9, since they produce some nice non-fighter models for NPC and also not every ganger is high-military or a bombshell model. But I also have some papsikel models in my drawer which look good.

Different color brands on front of a color palette card with two tones of teal, yellow ochre plus black and white. A cyberpunk miniature is primed and ready to be painted.

Gonna try to push myself a bit. Wanted to try these cards for a while now.

Still working on our roof isolation, therefore these are all models I’ve finished in march. But I’m happy to work through them, especially the eBay rescued hormagaunts are very relaxing to paint.

Oh damn, that orange and green are a supercool color choice!

Oh yeah, I’m really surprised how well thought out this sculpt is. Really enjoying the process. Like your bold colorscheme. Excited to see the result.

Have to isolate the roof of our house, therefore not much time for painting, but managed to work a bit on my nids 🙂 Hope to get this lovely fella done over the weekend.

Happy and a bit abashed, since I’ve experienced so many errors and mistakes on the way. More minis from this age will definitely come this year.

Oh thank you. Happy to read that since I often find that they aren’t that clean in total, partly because of damage on the sculpts, partly of myself being too impatient :D

Dang! You absolutely nailed it! Really love the contrast on this one.

I just fear that I’m running out of that old yellow circled decals. Seems I need to learn how to paint a clean circle next…

Thanks a lot. Had to give me a push to finish these, since I’ve started on them two years ago :D

Second tactical squad from that old box finally done. Honestly, a lot of these old edges are really hard to paint with clean edge highlight, but I see it as training :)

Not attending Tactica2026 sadly, too much to do at home. But at least enough time to work on the last details of this little bug.

Had to google that :D Haven’t played MTG for ages honestly if you are referring to that. Indeed looks similar, but mainly these colors come from the old 90s color schemes for tyranids.

Thanks for the warning. Honestly he still looks really cool. Was considering their range from time to time, although I’ve got tons of metal and printer unit9 miniatures here and even some Papsikels.

A while ago I’ve won a giveaway by Jonas Neumond which brought me a kit of these lovely fellas.
Now they are ready to absorb some enemies. Fun and very relaxing paintjob :)

Thank you :)
Yeah decided to give them a quick simple coat. Will probably add a few dots white. Right now I’m going through the basics. Still need to figure out where I put how much effort.

Decided to treat myself with one of the bigger models. Went through over a dozen of the smaller nids over the last weeks, so here you have your… what’s its name? Psychophage

As a kind of palette cleanser I’ve finished these von Ryan leapers after around a year having them unfinished on my table.
Got motivated since my son has painted his waaaaay quicker.

Thanks. I’m excited to apply it on some RT/2nd edition models which I were happy enough to acquire.

Leviathan leaper tyranid, WIP painted in an oldschool scheme.

Leviathan leaper tyranid, WIP painted in an oldschool scheme.

After a year break I continued on my leviathan tyranids. This is a very simple contrast/speedpaint scheme with one coat of layering. Nonetheless, getting these leaders basecoated really took some time. Very complex models.

AND UP!

Aestred Thurga: Pyre of Faith is available to pre-order!

Had a fantastic time, exploring this character, the Auto-Tapestry and the world upon which she finds herself (which may genuinely be one of my faves). Can't wait for people to read it!
