Incredibly moving song and 100% in agreement with you, it's exactly the sort of thing I want to hear from Macca. Really hoping the album has more of these reflective, understated type of tracks. Got my order in and roll on the 29th of May!

This is a holy grail record for me and one I've wanted for so long. It can go for ridiculous money so I resigned myself to the fact that, unless it got a reissue, I'd never own it. And then....just by chance I saw it online for a not so ridiculous price and now it's mine.

Day 5 of #adventsingles is The Carpet Crawlers by Genesis. This is from the German Rolling Stone magazine earlier this year with the remastered album version on side A and Love from The Shrine 75 on side B.

Up until last night I'd only heard it on YouTube & streaming and thought it was ok but when I put this on it hit harder. I know some of George's gtr has been removed but I'm noticing much more that was buried previously. Plus, no one is taking the 96 version away. It's a great addition to Anthology.

Missed day 1 of #adventsingles so will do 2 today to catch up. Up first is a single that arrived yesterday - The Beatles Free as a Bird & Real Love 2025 mixes. I seem to be in the minority as I really like the RL mix & found it quite emotional listening to it on this 7" in a way I didn't expect 1/2

I'm thinking about picking up this Dylan boxset. Question to anyone who has it - do you think it's worth getting or is it best to just stick with the real Albert Hall vinyl?
