Congrats to Gabriel P for winning the ARC of The Reimagining of Thornwood House, and don't forget to check out the book when it comes out in June!
Stay tuned for more giveaways. My shelves overfloweth and my book addiction is irresistible.
I'm giving away an ARC of The Reimagining of Thornwood House by @jaleighjohnson.bsky.social thanks to the lovely folks at @berkleypub.bsky.social! Highly recommend this cozy fantasy about a cranky, terrified, protective magical house. Like, share, or comment by 4/17 to win. US only.

An illustration of a can of Heinz Baked Beans, except the words "Baked" is replaced with "Eldritch". The tin is open and several bean-coloured tentacles dripping with bean juice are flailing about Yes it is as disturbing as it sounds.
This might be the most cursed image I've ever created, but I was playing dnd and the DM mentioned how their might be some eldritch BEINGS coming up and I misheard them and so, I present to you:
Eldritch Beans.
I'm not sorry.

Oh, speaking takes it next level for sure, and I say this as a person who generally enjoys public speaking. Never gave a sermon, though. 😁
An image of a hand writing with a pen. Beneath, it says, "Writing: A profession for introverts who want to tell you a story but don't want to make eye contact while telling it."
Eye contact is overrated anyway.
I’m thrilled to share the gorgeous cover art for book 2 of my Lady Lovely Locks series: TENDRILS! I love that we get a look at Leigh’s full cosplay for this one. Doesn’t she look like a baddie? Tendrils hits the shelves in August, so there’s plenty of time to read book one before then… #booksky
A stone palace with arched columns at the end of a reflective pool under a vibrant blue sky. Tourists cluster at the far end.
I'm back from an actual real vacation! We went to Spain! It was lovely! What did I miss?
...on second thought, never mind. Here's a pretty picture of the Alhambra instead.
I'm officially an old, so my only St. Patrick's celebration was watching Boondock Saints. I have a huge guy theory and a serial crusher theory. Top notch.
The game is emotional, not gonna lie. But we're Gen X-ers. Snark is literally an attribute on our character sheets, and when the going gets tough, the tough get sarcastic. If that sort of dark humor appeals to you, I hope you'll check it out.

My character, Bex Lexington, is an abrasive, impatient rulebreaker. She rebels against the system and people that failed her, and she's loud about it. I was never loud. I hid problems because I was too terrified to speak up. Bex is the other side of that coin, and it's been a blast to play her.
For me, the answer is still heck yes. Stories are how I process and cope with the world. For years, they were my safe space, and when the writing biz gets tough, the thing that keeps me going is the idea that I might be able to provide that escape for someone who needs it.
Months ago, my college roommate James came to me with a pitch--would I like to join a gaming podcast? I blurted out a yes but he stopped me there--the story was personal, built around Gen X experiences and childhood trauma. It might open up some wounds. Did I want that?
Another new free Arkham Horror story from me, featuring a creepy boss that is not at all inspired by an actual creepy boss; why do you ask? Give it a download and get ready for the Chapter Two Core Set. There are a few tiny little hints sprinkled throughout these stories...
I see nothing wrong here. This is totally normal. Right?
Right?!
Guys...?
Am I juggling 12 creative projects because I'm an overachiever or because I'd rather live in a fantasy world right now?
...both?
I've got another new free story out to help ramp up to the release of the Chapter Two Arkham Horror set! Distract yourself from real world horrors with some eldritch ones?
I'm only fancy virtually. In real life, I'm just a boneless blob with dyed hair. It's a fashion choice for sure.
I'm continuing my tradition of writing science heroes who are more brains than brawn with my latest Shadowrun story, The Big Spill, which is available for free download this month and only this month. Need some fodder for your e-reader? Pick up a copy FOR SCIENCE!

I'm in the cast of Echoes Under Ashwood, a Call of Cthulhu actual play podcast where Gen X snark meets cosmic horror. Can't wait to share our first episode with you. My alter ego Bex is... something.
Follow along at www.roleforsanity.com!
I would very much like to be Mark Hamill, but I am probably Unspecified Job Type.
Addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division.
Damn. That's more right than I want it to be.
Thank you, friend!
Why yes, it's another book birthday! Today, Miraculous Chibi Vol 5 hits the shelves, featuring my soccer-themed short comic, Sunscreen Snafu! Congrats to all the team and to the fine folks at @papercutzgn.bsky.social

Smurfin' same here.
The more I think about this, the more I crack up.
My brain just exploded.
I'm simultaneously cramming 3 different franchises into my brain for potential new projects, and boy is it a jumble in there. What are the worst crossovers you can think of? Personally, I think Smurf Star Wars would probably break me.
