Arrived at the gym and hit a pothole in the car park. Call to the OH. Did my class, came out and it was sorted. He’s definitely a keeper 🥰
Good job she’s having a blueberry facial this morning 🧖♀️💆🏻♀️ #pamperedpooch #cotondetulear
The pups and Mike strutting around Loch Lomond on our way up to Oban. Beautiful weather but 30 mins earlier we all got completely soaked when we stopped in Glasgow for a quick pit stop ☔️ 🤷🏻♀️ 🐶 🐶
Finally unboxed a Christmas gift…my fav four captains in order - Kirk, Picard, Sisko and Janeway. I don’t quite know what happened to Sisko 😂👽🖖💛 #startrek
The current chaos in my office while the bedroom is being redecorated. There’s a pup in there somewhere 🐶
🤭 🤭
Yes 👍🏻
😬😬😬
“Why?”
As much as I suffer from Trump Derangement Syndrome, I think it’s actually his enablers who are worse than him.
My sister was on Politics Live BBC2 yesterday being interviewed about A&E corridor care, in relation to our recent awful experience with our mum. Serious subject but my goodness the family whatsapp was on fire 😂😂
Happy 12th birthday to Sheldon, the bestest of best boys 🐶 and where better to spend it than on a deserted, albeit freezing 🥶 Scottish beach.
Decided that I’m going to learn from Sheldon’s example and this is how I’m going into 2026: chilled and relaxed. Although maybe not so exposed 😬😂
Returning to Scotland, to the middle of nowhere for a week or so, in order to disappear from everything and to have some breathing space so I can finally re-acquaint myself with my PhD studying. Just me, my fabulous OH and the pups. Heaven on earth. 👩🏻👱🏻♂️🐶🐶🏴
I have a very bad feeling about this...
Today's the 959th anniversary of the Battle of Hastings. As viewers of King and Conqueror will know, William was able to surprise Harold by crossing the Channel in his hovercraft, and the English king was already exhausted, having recently seen off a Martian invasion.
(Very) brief trip to campus today. Great to see Uni again rather than the inside of an NHS A&E corridor. Brief chats with fellow PhDers - I’ve missed it! 😐 Back soon hopefully 💪
Off for a break in the chaos…
Nearly 2 months in after my mum’s hospital event and still no-one has come to assess her at home. How do people without capable family organisation and support systems manage?? 🤷🏻♀️
Day 5 and a trip to Rishborough Roman fort. And then it was time to say goodbye.😔 Until next year!☺️
Day 4: Rome. My favourite ❤️ Full on and intense day but wonderful being back in the Republic. 🏛️❤️
Day 3 and we moved from the Trojan tragedy to the philosophers. Wonderful stuff ☺️
Day 2 went really well as did my talk: “From Leeches to Lancets: The Enduring Legacy of Bloodletting from Antiquity to the Nineteenth Century”. Everybody was very engaged and I had some really great questions which led to a really interesting discussion. #histmed
No one. They were looking at her in a kind of ‘ah bless’ way.
Day 1 of the Classics Summer School was great, lovely to meet people I’ve only ever seen on a screen before! And Sheldon and Missy have definitely made themselves at home ☺️🐶🐶
Looking forward to the forthcoming Classics summer school - it’ll be a nice break from my current life! #classics #summerschool #maturestudent #classicalstudies
24 hours in A&E with your mum on a stretcher in a corridor (for all that time) makes for interesting viewing of a part of Britain that I had no idea existed.
