Best opening line that I've heard in a YouTube video in a very long time.

Regardless of what happens, someone will be upset, and we'll be hearing about it all the time until the next one comes around. The song remains the same.
Star Fox fans have Stockholm Syndrome like no one else. Every time a game gets announced (which isn't even that often), it's never "what the fans want." Yet they just keep on hoping this'll be the time.
Hasn't been a Rooster Fighter episode yet where I haven't said "this is such a dumb-as-fuck show" but with the biggest grin on my face.
Roosters ready to fight
Really enjoying the Rooster Fighter anime so far. Its story may not go as far off the rails as I was expecting, but its wild premise and crazy presentation adds a real spice to it all. Looking forward to more of this one.
Diana and Hugh from Pragmata
Ngl, I was hoping that the Pragmata review scores would be more mixed. Divided reception is a telltale sign of a truly unique and interesting game, in my eyes. That being said, as someone who's grown disillusioned with new releases in general, I can't help but be excited to play this one this week.
That's TWO projects from former members of black midi that have been boring slogs to listen to.
Congratulations and best wishes to you and the whole family, sir. ๐

Static Dress is really championing the 2000's Myspace/Headbangers Ball era of post-hardcore music. Featuring one of the most prolific bands of that era on this song is a total no-brainer. Really great track here. Looking forward to the upcoming album. #NowPlaying
Oh man, that opening theme is so fire.
Video essay thumbnail teaser for A Panel About Video Essays, with Sonic the Hedgehog, Luffy from One Piece (Gear 5), Makima from Chainsaw Man, The Knight from Hollow Knight, Kirito from Sword Art Online, and Goku from Dragon Ball Z looking outward on the Evangelion backdrop. Ready for Anime STL 2026.
It's been a long time coming to announce this, but if you're planning on being at the Anime St. Louis 2026 convention, I'll be running a panel about making Youtube video essays. If you want to learn or talk about the topic, Friday April 24 at 5pm, Junior Ballroom D, is the current time/place. ๐ค
Current mood: feeling a bit guilty toward a band's vocalist by saying the band's best song is an instrumental track.
People underestimate just how different GosT was in the modern synthwave scene. Lollar made strong strides toward industrial and metal beyond those clean, catchy synth passages. Possessor is still an album I have very fond memories toward. Tragic loss. Rest in peace, James.
A skeleton man with a suspicious grin of trickery on the screen of a house's thermostat
I come home from work and this is what I see on my house's thermostat.
This is pretty unnerving, because what is up with studios that Mikami formed getting acquired by AI-focused companies? Tango is now under Krafton, now Unbound is under Shift Up.
Now Playing - Slayyyter "I'M ACTUALLY KINDA FAMOUS"
New Slayyyter album is a ride. Loud club beats and dazed-as-fuck vibes, it's really nice to see some strong music representation from the STL area, and even better seeing how far she's come since that first mixtape. Don't stop, Cat. You're making shit happen. #NowPlaying
I've been side-eyeing album remasters ever since Isis "remastered" Oceanic and Panopticon, so I can't say I'm thrilled to hear this.
The drip feeding of information on KH4 toward parched Kingdom Hearts fans is so hilarious to me.
There's something very compelling about finding a new experience in your sphere, especially in a series that's become so connected to your image as an artist or scholar. Alec continues to be the definitive voice on studying the Myst/Riven series. Highly recommended, as per usual with his work.
Now Playing: Gorillaz self titled album, happy 25 years to the debut record by Gorillaz
25 years later, this is still their best work. Imagine coming up with this alternative-rap-rock "virtual band" thing and having it last as long as it has. As an adolescent, I was absolutely obsessed with the crossover chaos that was the first Gorillaz album. Happy 25 years, Gorillaz. #NowPlaying
Kenji Saito, director of Metal Gear Rising, standing with Raiden and Blade Wolf pointing
I hope Kenji Saito releases some kind of interview or retrospective on his director role during Metal Gear Rising's development someday. That's a game that I really want to learn more about the creative process behind it. I think there's still so much that we don't know about it.
Pedro's been working diligently on this project for God knows how long. If you're even a bit familiar or interested in the Super Smash Bros. series, this is the video to watch. Send him some much-deserved appreciation and check out his hard work.
I've had that happen before multiple times, and it's a demoralizing feeling, but you'd be surprised how much scripts can differ by the end of the production. Try not to let it get to you. Even in such a crowded ecosystem, you can still find ways to be unique in your own voice.
This is the best way to experience PN03, for better or worse.
Have a good and happy birthday, Red. โ๏ธ๐
The amount of channels that push this with Sonic music alone is wild. I saw one that published a video detailing their "creative process" that conveniently (at the very end of the video) mention running it through a tool. It's so deceptive and these channels are EVERYWHERE.
The core gameplay of Katamari Damacy is the subject of U.S. Patent 7,402,104, "Game performing method, game apparatus, storage medium, data signal and program". The patent, issued in 2009, primarily describes how the game maintains the roughly spherical nature of the katamari when objects are picked up, though extends to concepts such as tracking objects collected based on temperature or weight values, which were modes included with later games of the series.
Recently went down the rabbit hole of video game patents, and I know everyone points at "loading screen minigames" when it comes to loose, frivolous game patents by Bandai Namco but patenting the core mechanic of Katamari shows that we simply don't hate the publisher enough for this kind of garbage.
Dude, if Outer Wilds and Danganronpa got you emotional, this one will SHATTER you.
