We tried to find a rescue that could take him in, but none could respond immediately, so he's with us now. He's doing great though, and has had zero problems with bottle feeding.

Well, we've got some extra meows in the house, from this little one. He's 1 week old here. Apparently his mama had 7 babies, disappeared with 6 of them and left him behind, so we took him in. He's doing great. Not sure what the future holds, but for now, he's part of the family.

I'm Gen X, so the answer is... NONE. We were taught to solve our problems by telling absolutely no one, and then hating ourselves, because it was obviously all our fault, and then additionally abusing various substances to make it OK. That, and making our hair really big and listening to metal. 🤘 🤣

The movie "Journey 2: The Mysterious Island" isn't exactly a great movie. It's fun though, especially if you like family adventure. But there's one line from the movie I LOVE. Michael Caine's character says

"Music is nature's painkiller"

...and I'm like... yeah... like, eff yeah. I love that line.

Still love that movie to this day. Saw it in the theater with my Dad when I was 12. I can't imagine what I said to convince him to let me see it at that age. 😄

Photo of ginger brothers Thor and Loki. Thor is long hair and Loki is short hair. When we first met them, they were about to be adopted separately, and we were the only ones who saw Loki's face when they took his brother away. He was devastated. At that moment, we told the rescue place that we want them both, and please try to get that other person interested in another cat besides Thor. And they did. The brothers have been part of our lives since before they were even a year old, and even after all these years, they show us regularly that we did right by them. I couldn't imagine our house without them.

Back to back gotcha days in our house! Today's gotcha day is brothers Thor and Loki. For over 12 years now, they've shared with us the most amazing bond, like nothing I've seen before. Truly BFFs that were meant to spend their lives together. They are such a happy place for me.😻

A selfie of me and our cat named Bug. She's the feistiest, craziest, most lovable demon child I've ever known. She has total control over us. For example... we can pet her, and she'll grab our hand, claws out, chomp down and bite us, and we'll be like... "OMG Bug I love you too!" I think it's safe to say that she owns us. In the photo of Loki, he's sitting on a couch, on his butt, sort of like a human. His belly is facing the camera, back legs sticking out weirdly, front paws propped up, supporting his "sitting up" position. I think he was actually grooming at the time, but I had the camera, saw this pose, and went "LOKI!", and he looked up at me (because he knows his name), thus I snapped this glorious photo. This was taken several years ago, when he was still overweight, making his proportions look even more ridiculous. Since this photo, he's lost about 5 lbs! Though an old man now, and he's been fighting intestinal lymphoma for nearly 2 years now, but regardless, he's still our most perfect, silly ginger, forever blessed with the heart of a kitten. Our lives are truly better with him in it.

We've had bunnies making their home under our back patio for many years now, and I've done everything I can to make sure our back yard is a safe space for them. This baby bunnies' sighting has helped me feel like I've maybe done a decent job.

There's a new baby bun in our back yard. It's barely 3 in long, and I'm in love. There's probably others. Well, they all kinda look the same, so it's probably not the same bun every time. Regardless, I shall name it... Henrietta. When the world is dark, it helps to find light in the simplest things.

Image of one of the cotton tail rabbits that lives in our back yard. Based on my research, it's the Mama. She's chilling out in front of our big tree, laying down, ears back, eyes partially closed, looking like a really happy, chill rabbit. And she should be - she lives with her family under our patio. I don't know for sure, but given the time that has passed, I'm pretty sure multiple generations have called the safety of our back yard "home". And as long as I live here, they will always and forever be welcome and protected.

Mrs. Bun has quite the camouflage. She chills like this nearly every day, in front of the big tree in our back yard. I can go outside, and she looks up at me as if to say "'sup?"... and then just goes right back to chillin'. Love her. Her and her family call our yard "home", and I'm so here for it.

As someone who grew up in Northeast "Nowhere" Ohio, there wasn't even a heavy metal radio station back then... nothing even close... and certainly no social media platforms. So when I discovered this album, thanks to EU friends on IRC, it literally changed my entire world.
