There's probably a liquid CO2 shortage starting. I went to go pick up a new 5-kg canister and my normal supplier was completely out, don't know what's going on, and says this is a big problem for everyone. CO2 is collected from oil refining and chemical plants as a by product of their processes...

Don't be surprised if you can't get a beer or cola in little shops in your neighborhood soon.

Building software in 2026 — insanely, improbably, we've all been given the equivalent of a nuclear reactor for $200/mo; it's wild that technology like Claude Code is so evenly distributed, so quickly: craigmod.com/essays/softw...
Tapestry 1.7 includes a new and improved media viewer, ability to exclude YouTube shorts, new third party Open In support for Mastodon & Bluesky, and much, much more.

Maybe you should see about working for the manufacturer. Not kidding.
Ikejiri Inari Shrine (池尻稲荷神社) in Setagaya Ward, Tokyo. The shrine is located near the Meguro/Setagaya border, not far from Ikejiri-Ohashi Station. The distinctive features that help identify it are the bronze statue of a mother and child, the torii gate, and the carpet of golden ginkgo leaves - ginkgo trees are particularly common at Inari shrines. The urban setting with apartment buildings visible in the background is also characteristic of Tokyo neighborhood shrines.

On the way to Shibuya…
Wow. Your post got labeled by Bluesky Moderation!
In the company of giants.
Shinjuku Gyoen in Tokyo near sundown. Fall leaves and the moon.
The sky seemed quite clear today in Tokyo at Shinjuku Gyoen near sundown.
I found it, but too bad that we can’t upload higher-resolution photos!
My AI tip of the day: Maximize what you get from tech podcasts by using Deep Research from ChatGPT or Gemini to summarize discussions about the episode.
This layers on outside perspectives and insights to what you heard. It’s also a solid way to vet episodes and decide which are worth a full listen
Just curious, where is China on this list?
Maybe you could raise one corner up high enough for him to crawl under…
I tried using the new automatic photo description feature in @MonaApp for this post. I wish it had mentioned the lanterns making up a dragon and not said “foreign text” regarding the signage. I didn’t see a way to check it before sending.
A busy street with people walking under red and orange lanterns. Signs with foreign text hang from buildings.
Passed through #Yokohama Chinatown on the way home last week and thought this was pretty cool… 📷
Screenshot about go carting in Tokyo. I make some edits to better reflect the feelings of residents here. DID YOU KNOW? YOU CAN LEGALLY DRIVE A GO-KART ON TOKYO'S STREETS! • Yes, street go-karting in Japan is 100% real! You can zip through Tokyo's busy roads, past (UNHINGED) taxis, neon lights (OF TRUCKS THAT CAN’T SEE YOU), and cheering crowds in a mini (DEATH TRAP). Once behind the wheel, you can dress up in (UNSAFE)costume. cruise past landmarks like Shibuya Crossing or Tokyo Tower, and feel like a real-life video game character. (NOT A THING) Just remember (how u would feel if a bunch of totally unforgettable. tourists descended upon your city and acted like it was their personal playground.) #japan #travel (#japanese#apikachuhoodisnotahelmet) THIS IS YOU SOON: GO-KARTING IN TOKYO 70 17 comments 11 shares
Fixed it for you 😇
This is a slow motion phone video I took today for @cuppachabanashi.bsky.social. May the gods of video compression not hate you as much as they do me.
Wow! Thanks for sharing this.
