Lots of lies and grievance being spread on YouTube by unknown people from unknown countries in support of Alberta's independence movement.

This story is a microcosm of what the UCP has become under Premier Danielle Smith's regime. @matthewblack.ca deserves the public's thanks for pursuing records that the UCP govt had absolutely no legal reason to withhold. Evidence of Smith's growing authoritarianism is on full display here.
Thanks Duane.

This is a major line being crossed by Alberta's UCP government. Throwing out the work of an independent boundaries committee is authoritarian and extremely anti-democratic.
This is a very troubling story via @brettmckay.bsky.social.
In case anyone has forgotten, Joseph Schow was in charge of field operations for the Jason Kenney leadership campaign and was interviewed by the RCMP for its voter fraud investigation. www.cbc.ca/news/canada/...
Shuvaloy Majumdar was directly involved for months in Jason Kenney's deeply anti-democratic Kamikaze campaign during the UCP leadership. He was working for Harper & Associates at the time. www.cbc.ca/news/canada/...
It is worth noting that in the separation referendum court case in Alberta that recently resulted in a temporary injunction, an Elections Alberta lawyer testified that that the Alberta Prosperity Project had not disclosed who was funding it. Why not?
Same guy. This is from The Tyee. thetyee.ca/Analysis/202...
Doesn't matter. No photography allowed anywhere inside any courthouse in Alberta. It's posted on signs in courthouses. It's common knowledge.
Woah!
FYI, it's illegal to take photos inside a courthouse in Alberta. You can be charged with contempt of court.

I wonder how many UCP ministers and MLAs have nannies/housekeepers/employees who are immigrants?

Pattern? Justice Minister Mickey Amery limited an Elections Alberta investigation related to Sam Mraiche. The UCP refused to extend the term of Auditor General Doug Wylie who is investigating Mraiche. UCP also refused to fully cooperate with Wylie, and the inquiry of former Judge Raymond Wyant.
SCOOP: Alberta Justice Minister Mickey Amery curtailed Elections Alberta's power to penalize when Sam Mraiche was under investigation.

I Iearned there have been at least three complaints to the Law Society of Alberta against Megan Hankewich
There have been at least two requests to Justice Minister Mickey Amery for a criminal investigation of EPS Chief Warren Driechel and chief legal counsel Megan Hankewich for obstruction of justice, intimidation of a justice official, extortion and conspiracy. 2
Fraser called the actions of the EPS “reprehensible” and made it clear that he also felt threatened and that the police may have crossed the line into criminality. “The veiled threat that they may release more information about this matter if they are not happy about the sentence I impose comes dangerously close, and may actually cross the line, into an attempt to wilfully obstruct, pervert, or defeat the course of justice in a judicial proceeding,” Fraser said in his ruling.
A judge in this case said Edmonton Police may have crossed the line into criminality by attempting to bully him and the prosecutor on a plea deal. 1
