It is a legitimately hilarious game. I loved the previous one on 3DS so I *had* to budget for this one. I think I’m doing something absurd and then I go on the internet and no, I’ve barely done anything at all, everyone is a mad genius.

Really and truly, I wish my body worked consistently enough to let me actually work. In an ideal world I would just wish for enough audience to support a basic living, but I can’t get there easily.

Anything beyond that would be amazing… but hard to even dream about.

That *is* a lot of moneys but as a broke person it has been worth every cent to me so far because I’ve laughed so much. Comedy needs to be even more of a video game genre. Then again I dont buy games very often, BUT…. There are exceptions.

My grandfather died of this when I was about month old and he was in his 50s. I wish this existed so I could have gotten to know him. But I’m so happy for the lives it will change!!

Oh this is sad. I was able to participate once (my game was flash based and lost to time unfortunately) and the whole experience was a blast. Theme selection was done in such a fun way. Everything about it was fun. I should try and do one more before it fully ends.

I’ve had this happen a bunch lately with a different controlled substance script and it *usually* means they’re doing a prior authorization. They just do it whenever now, I suspect to try and get out of paying for it by delaying it as long as possible.

I think Canada has a program where library book checkouts turn into a small royalty payment for the author, wildly cool to me. And almost everyone else has arts grants and stuff. We’re just so behind here, we could support so much good art and small creators but noooo.

Yep. I agree on things not *needing* to be adapted, it’s just cool when they can be and it seems reserved for mainstream stuff. Give small creators a shot too!!

I had caffeine too late in the evening last night because it tends to help with headaches and I *knew* it was a bad idea but I did it anyway and now I’m full of regret. I mean, I probably wouldn’t have slept with an intense headache, either, but…

I really enjoyed this style, I should do more like it

GC has done such a heel turn in the past year and change and I’m stunned. They seemed super cool when they were first launching but their recent behavior is so gross.

Please don't put your comics on GlobalComix

Anyway, point is, I super agree! But I don’t have good solutions either! 😅

If only we had like, functional arts support in the US. Or could convince bigger companies to take a risk on funding/producing indie projects without ruining them via micromanagement. So many comics could and should be adapted for movies or other media because they’re so good.

I wish there was a way to connect webcomics with more mainstream readers… but not like Webtoon necessarily. People can’t like what they can’t find, but they’ll also never be successful on a platform that encourages burnout and overwork. The format is different, too, so that’s another thing.

I agree with the whoooole thread. I think it’s one of those chicken and egg things, where if you get funding (somehow) to be able to produce good, consistent work, you can turn around and make a profit and be seen. But things that are really good also tend to take off on their own, so.

Tomodachi Life is excellent so far, I didn’t even realize how late (early) it was since starting at midnight. So far I’ve been making characters from MST3K movies, including Puma Man and Blast Hardcheese. Possibly going to make Vidiño and Donald Pleasance so Puma Man has more friends.

You know what the world needs? A nod to the queer coded villains of JRPGs and loving, happy queer romances with unconventional leading men.

Oh wait, I did one

After the “suddenly allergic to the laundry detergent we’ve always used” incident of a few weeks back the MCAS likelihood looms larger and larger on the horizon and I don’t like that.

I think I’m experiencing spring allergies for the first time in my life. This is uncalled for.
