The national used to be tricky when they first started gaining traction. The upside is it killed the bare naked ladies.
Reaching the point where the diesel in my car is worth more than the car.
Gig photo
James are a very joyous band.
Is this thing working? Two gigs in two weeks, on my way to another on the far side of London. James and Doves at the O2.
I remember this one! Oli Frey sadly passed away a few years back. Still gutted I didn't win the gauntlet arcade machine in one of their comps.
My good mood sparked by the belle and Sebastian gig is still continuing. Sometimes gigs are like that.
Ha! Do it. Lots of space now that the crispy and holey ones I never wore are now in the local clothes recycling bank.
I have sorted out my sock drawer. A successful middle aged Sunday morning!
That's young people for you. Don't move off the sofa for weeks then pull a 50ker out of the bag with no prep and wake up fine the next day.
No idea how I managed it but only 3 rows from the front at the Royal Albert. Lovely play through of sinister. Stuart Murdoch wearing his trademark hat.
Off to the Royal Albert Hall for a night of Belle and Sebastian. It's been 25 years since I last saw them there.
Wakin on a pretty daze is where to start. It's a fairly summery album. Thanks for the tour tip off.
What would Mr spoon make of it all? I was expecting you to say iron maidens moonchild.
Heres the Velvet underground playing in the background whilst a gathering of 60s hippy kids go about their own business in the sunshine. youtu.be/XwgkhIkSZFo?...
This is a hell of a song. I know it's a cover. Mazzy star Blue flower. Thanks to Jools. youtu.be/0J1LV5R2ryY?...
Cure night again on BBC 4.
Found this during a loft clear out. No idea how it stayed in such good condition.
Time for this.
It's a departure from the standard maiden bassline that's for sure.
King rollo. And I didn't even have to look that up. Almost as good as rediscovering Wiz Ball but not as good as Mr Benn.
I should post something but I'm bereft of ideas so maybe I'll just comment.
Perhaps you've reached top tier Beatles level of can't be arsedness with promo so turn it to your advantage. no touring, shoot the cover photo in the road outside your house and film an impromptu gig on your garage roof. Job done.
Make the promo video a day in the life of writing the new songs. Two birds and all that. Might be hard to make sitting at a laptop into an interesting promo though.
It was knee deep in mud and hard to move anywhere. Top marks for actually having a camera and managing to get a shot away.
It will be with mid-70s live quo.
Whilst on a George roll, the most streamed Beatles song by a long way is here comes the sun.
This was in my head so now it can be in yours too. I me mine.
