Paradise Inc patch 3.1.5 is out! 3.1.4 was a short-lived creature that updated Twine and SugarCube, and... that was a bad idea. So we've rolled back those updates, and fixed the fix. Steam, ItchIo, and our website are all updated!

#6 - What's a core value of principles that guides your games development?
Release what's worth releasing. Too many games die because they get lost in dozens of small releases that never inch toward a finish. We always aim to deliver a patch that feels like it was worth logging in again for.
#5 - What's the most unique thing about your studio/dev style?
We're porn with PLOT, & we're extremely proud of our writing quality, characterization, etc. We know you buy NSFW games for the fap, but damned if we aren't going to make it as memorable as possible.

#4 - What's one word that describes the vibe of your studio?
I'd like to say 'polished'. We're very focused on releasing products that work, are fun, & we hate putting out anything that's not finalized. Sometimes this led us to spending way too much time debating very corner-case situations...
#3 - What's the meaning behind your studio name / dev handle?
Pretty obvious combination of 'sin' + 'inspirational'. We wanted something that was clearly NSFW-oriented, but had a certain level of 'class' to it. We're proud of our writing quality & creativity!

#2. What inspired you to make your current game?
We have a new upcoming game, but the inspiration for Paradise Inc was what I saw as the lack of enough games where every participant was having a good time... thus a swinging, sex-positive adventure was born.

#1: Your game is at a party-what's it saying to introduce itself?
"Why so glum? No really, I'd love to hear. Maybe I can help you out..."

[L] Cracked open Renpy code for the first time in... a while. Python is not my normal coding language, but I guess I've learned a bit since then regardless, as I immediately managed to fix a niggling little bug on a game mechanic that'd stumped me previously. #gamedev #indiegamedev
Well, it looks like birdsite scared off the pervs. Cambion & Luciana are a bit buried under RL right now, but we'll start being more active here. We're also working on our second game, so stay tuned!

Here's a list of some great erotic game developers on Bluesky; spread this around, we're adding to the list every day!
What are five topics you can talk about unprepared for five minutes?
With Luciana, it is definitely:
1. Writing (especially collaborative roleplay and erotica)
2. Historical and socio-linguistics
3. Alternative religions
4. Philosophy & ethics in technology
5. BDSM

We're going to do another patch in the next few days to make it possible to import your saved-game achievements into Steam. Stay tuned!
Paradise Inc. received Patch 3.1.2 this weekend. We squished an infinite energy exploit, fixed a(nother) typo, and made Luciana make a certain part less evil!
Patch notes in game, or on our Steam page!
So, yeah. "Paradise, inc." is a great game and a great read where even losing can be fun - but winning is decidedly more fun of course.
(Also now it's on Steam! Somehow😳)
Thanks for the good time @sinspirational.com 🤩

This tumblr post is the reason I’m able to write books at all. 500 words a day, Saturdays off. I’ve written over half a million words in 6 years
Someone in our Discord is looking for nice art / eyecandy of submissive men (not necessarily effeminate men!). Any recommendations? #nsfw #nsfwart
Picard management tip: Tell good stories. The right story can persuade, inspire, or illuminate.
Steam now lets you mark games in your library as private so no one can see it. So if you've been eyeing that sweet #nsfw #adultgame but didn't want your friends to know what floats your boat -- go buy it! They'll never know.

[L] I speak Dutch, which USUALLY gets me pretty close with German, but respectfully... what the Hell is THAT?
Learning a new skill, of any sort, requires time, effort, & the courage to put yourself out there in an online world where people joyfully tear you down. I'm all for tools that make those first steps into a new hobby a little easier, and/or a little less imposing.
But we learned a lot -- about code, about processes, about loops, about story, about *making games*, and now we're ready to take the next step. (It will won't be Unity or Unreal. Still more learning to go before we touch that.)
We started out with HTML and Javascript (Twine, specifically), and neither of us had done gamedev before. It's been a steep learning curve going from "occasional scripting" to "actual game". I can't imagine if we'd tried to start with Unity or Unreal - it was ALREADY difficult as is!
