Tucker Carlson, once a Trump ally, apologized for “misleading” people by endorsing Trump’s presidential bid, calling the war in Iran a “betrayal” of his promises.

Wait a minute, is this the same Richard Tice who repeatedly called for Angela Rayner to resign over her dubious tax shenanigans? Surely not, because that would make him look like a hypocritical wanker. Oh.
Hypocrite Richard Tice 'owes £98,000 in tax' after demanding Angela Rayner sack over smaller mix-up
www.mirror.co.uk/news/politic...
When Angela Rayner underpaid £40,000 in stamp duty, Richard Tice said it was "morally completely indefensible” and she should resign if she had “any moral decency”.
Now we learn he set up four shell companies that let him avoid paying £100,000 he owed in tax and to then transfer the cash to Reform
We are trying to improve on: "unfortunately we did not spot that" [big false claim] - but the presenter did argue with him about anecdotal experiences of crime just after that, if that helps, + we corrected a different false claim. [So: is there a quota of one correction per interview?!?!]
📌Pope Leo XIV TODAY:
“The world is being ravaged by a handful of tyrants. Blessed are the peacemakers, but woe to those who manipulate religion and the name of God for their own military, economic and political gain, dragging that which is sacred into darkness and filth.”
He is NOT backing down.
Trump comparing himself to Jesus while Vance tries to lecture the actual Pope on matters theological proves beyond any reasonable doubt that the ‘Christian’ element of their support is, morally & doctrinally, about as Christian as a hula hoop. Their conduct is literally unconscionable.
Nigel Farage is making a habit of becoming really quite unpleasant when he’s asked probing questions by female journalists.

Finally, a good new story!
A worker died in a Amazon warehouse in Oregon.
For more than an hour the workers in the facility were ordered to continue working as the man lay dead.
One worker tried to help, but a manager told him “Just turn around and not look. Let’s get back to work.“
EVIL.

Massive street party in Budapest right now: huge crowds dancing, hugging, crying, and opening bottles. (Reuters)
A rare defeat for Putin in Western politics tonight. I suppose he can console himself with thoughts of Farage’s projected success next month.
Come on Hungary 🙏🙏🙏

I know. There's part of me feels sorry for the ones who now realise they were lied to and regret their vote. But as for the ones who still think Brexit will make them rich, they'll just have to suck it up.
Do you think kemi badenoch should step down too then?
If you are doing an honest day's work, you and your job are productive and worthy of respect. I don't care what that job is.
If you are doing an HONEST day's work you are also unlikely to be a Tory.
Important bulletin from @larryandpaul.bsky.social
It was a motion on devolution and how that would help with infrastructure in our area.
I wanted to challenge myself and I had a great speech written for me.
We then had to knock up a speech in the break as we didn't know the seconder could also speak, so I got a go at speech writing too. It was great
Honestly it was so exhilarating. I spoke from the same lectern as Angela Rayner and Lisa Nandy had also spoken from so it was an honour.
Crying 😂
I did my first speech today at conference.
Absolutely loved it.
You don't need to be nervous when you are among friends.
What a fab day
Wow. Imagine the shock for the Daily Mail when it finds out Tory plans were for fines of £5k - later reduced to £3k - for each missed heat pump sale. What Ed Miliband has done is to reduce that to £500. As @torstenbell.bsky.social says today Headline should read “Miliband slashes Tory boiler tax”
