Taking a quick stab at this I think to be frank a non status quo nat sec idea would be turning the United States from the world’s policeman to its EMT.

Put simply USAID with teeth, a humanitarian action force that can stop genocide and do the Marshall plan funded like the US military.

So again I’d say no more unnecessary wars.

I can get on board with roughly all of them except no more wars, I’d say that wars are necessary and often being willing to fight wars is a necessity in preventing them. So I’d change it to no more unnecessary wars. Also things like genuine humanitarian intervention as in stopping the interahamwe…

The left in general needs to actually start putting forth policies of their own that aren’t quasi-tankie stuff. And there are real experts who want to talk about it from a different space then the old neo-con way but to do that we need a credible policy set that isn’t just isolationism.
