Dec 19, 2014 is when Craig Ferguson stopped reminding us "It's a great day for America, everybody!"
The question is: was this a precursor to society slipping? Or did Craig already know the Mii was on the way out?!

In a bookstore and finding a book Steven Pinker wrote in 2025 called "When Everyone Knows That Everyone Knows..." made me 😂.
He's attempting to be cute and edgy, going against the grain. But thanks to things like @ifbookspod.bsky.social I only think "everyone knows" he was besties with Epstein...
I dunno... I'm pretty sure you're not directly under the control of a corporate entity, are an actual being, and even worse, you've actually acted and not just been programmed to say one line... Seems risky...
Packaging for Mechanism Gaming's "Claw Mount", including a picture of a three-eyed alien and saying "All hail... THE CLAAAAAAAAW"
Great packaging or greatest packaging? ngl, this had me cackling #mechanismgaming
How is it that life is always like, "Oh, you have a busy week? Here's five more fires before you can rest!"
*mumble mumble confirmation bias mumble mumble*
Just got told by the city of Atlanta that there's no sewer on our street. But our sewage is definitely going out a pipe at the front of our property... So where is it going and why have we been paying ATL for 6 years?
Can we stop cleaning up Trump's speech patterns when transcribing? There's more rambles within that quote above, but by removing them it lies about his ability to communicate.
Hell yeah #StarfleetAcademy episode 4! That leitmotif, at the perfect moment! 👨🍳💋
Y'all are cookin'!
An in-game poster with a crazy-eyed muppet-looking character, holding its hands out saying "Ok... but SCIENCE!"
From #EscapeAcademy DLC, how I wish I'd had this available as a reaction to sooooo many things the past decade!
I feel like there's been more mehs and misses than hits for Star Trek lately, but we're three episodes into #StarfleetAcademy and it's been stellar so far!
Looking forward to where the season goes!
I've got a Betamax, how do I get it there?
Or is it streaming somewhere for RealPlayer?
Oh, it's good to know AirPods do this too. Probably my biggest pet peeve with my Soundcore earbuds!
A meme of Bilbo Baggins having doubts about passing on the One Ring to Frodo, feeling the call of the One Ring to keep it for himself instead. The text of the meme is "After all, why not? Why shouldn't I just make my own app?"
The curse of the software engineer
let's try that again...
... I completely missed that the image was broken due to WebGL restrictions on my browser 🤦
That still works for "the curse of the tech-literate" though 😅

For anyone still supporting this regime, seems like for you we should add a new stanza:
Then they came for the gun owners
But I did not speak out
Because I'm a hypocritical dipshit
It's 2020.
There's a fascist regime in control.
There's state-sponsored murders in Minneapolis.
There's massive protests across the country.
There's a major threat to my personal health if I leave my house.
It's 2026...
I've heard generally favorable things, but every time I see anything about it, the vibe of it makes me want to rewatch Three Billboards Outside Ebbing, Missouri instead
The intolerant deserve no tolerance.
The unaccepting deserve no acceptance.
The warmongering deserve no peace.
The hateful deserve no love.
Not shocking and extremely easy to believe, he always carried a heavy form of arrogance that truly shone through his games.
But also saddening, as Braid and The Witness are wonderful and awful in their own ways, and this might make them impossible for me to revisit.
Speech is free when it's free for me, not for thee.
Saying someone or something is "clout chasing" directly implies the comment was insincere. It tags that comment as cynical and with a selfish purpose. It makes it clear you think the argument was in bad faith.
You're not worth interacting with anymore. Respond how you will, but I'm done.
It's become part of the newer generation's cynicism and allergy to sincerity. In a world where bad faith is so rampant, especially in politics, being earnest is cringe.
So the only answer is that everyone is acting in bad faith. You're virtue signaling, you're clout chasing, you're insincere.
:(
You're living in a false dichotomy, a zero sum game. To you, earnest criticism isn't worthwhile because you're hurting one side which immediately boosts the other. The two-party system has infected your brain.
Or, you're just a troll trying to foment discord.
It's impossible to tell which...
Jesus Christ I wish people would retire “clout chasing” already. It’s as meaningless and dismissive as “virtue signaling.” What you’re actually saying is “You can’t possibly believe that, you’re jus trying to seem cool and score points with perceived cool people”. It’s a craven accusation
Overall main games and hours played on my Nintendo Switch. Main games are 785 hours on Animal Crossing New Horizons, 155 hours on Zelda: Breath of the Wild, 152 hours on Dragon Quest Builders 2, 133 hours on each of Stardew Valley and Dragon Quest XI S, and 129 hours on Cozy Grove. The other major time spent were on Overcooked 2, Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom, Great Ace Attorney Chronicles, Hades, Super Mario Odyssey, Hollow Knight, Mario Kart 8 Deluxe, Okami HD, Final Fantasy XII, Graveyard Keeper, Paper Mario: Thousand-Year Door, Danganronpa V3, Murder by Numbers, Sea of Stars, and Paper Mario: Origami King.
As someone who's owned a Switch since launch day, this is a really awesome look back on the nearly 9 years I spent with it. Hoping to get the same amount of joy from the Switch 2! #Nintendo #YearInReview
Wait, why didn't Mel Brooks ever make a prequel-satire? The story of the rise of Dark Helmet and Skroob.
And the name "Spaceball" was right there.
It would have made at least tens of dollars! And that's in like, early 2000s money!
2026. What a year, huh?
Been thinking a lot recently about how much victim-blaming is just a way to pretend the victim is the only one with agency in the situation.
Can't be anyone else's fault, the victim MADE them do it.
