Currently trying to come up with a fantasy name for a continent, world or general setting that starts with the letter "X" (as I would want the abbreviation for my boardgame be MoX or in full Merchants of X....). Having a lot of ideas but nothing that really stuck with me so far.

Also ofc a vast fantasy inspired map with various towns and cities, wilderness and obstacles on the routes between them.
I do fear that I am loading too many features onto it from the start but I am definitely aiming to make an intricate game over a simple one.
It would have to feature unique characters with different load capacities, skills and specializations when it comes to different "goods". Players bid on contracts in cities and try to cash in as much gold as possible. Lastly, a day/day/night cycle will determine different outcomes for event cards.
The broad description of my board game would be: a fantasy-themed merchant game where players compete to transport goods from one city to another (think: Auf Achse) while also having some fantasy/rpg/dnd inspired events and character building (quests, equipments, hired protection).
Might also start using this platform for some music posting? Not sure yet. I just can't be bothered to stay up-to-date with social media in 2025 even though bsky seems to be comfy enough.
my only goal for 2025: start something new. And the idea is already there. I am working on a board game. Like, ground up making a new game. Is that an insane amount of work and committment? Yes. But I wanna see how far I can get.

Have you had a look at Void Stranger? I've been looking for something to bridge the gap between BG3 and C:S2 for me and haven't really found anything equally cozy so far. Always happy for more recommendations!
