Same here! Except not quite frost, low expected in the mid 30s. But it was in the 90s several days last week including Saturday!

A tall shelf on an outdoor porch full of houseplants. The shelf is completely covered with a thick plastic tarp
Three flats of seedlings on the floor in a house: marigolds, tomatoes, peppers, basil and parsley
Fully two weeks after putting all the houseplants and seedlings outside, we had to cover the houseplants and bring the seedlings back in for a cold snap. It’s been so warm this year so far I wasn’t expecting it.
There’s a bong joke in one of the Jonah episodes. Starcrash maybe? There’s a vaguely bong-like object on screen and Jonah says “I knew a guy in college who had one of those. WOOOO!”
Happy Birthday @ithayla.bsky.social !!! Hope you’re having a fantastic day!!!
Between the news about the dog and overdoing it in the yard and hurting my wrist, this is a day for comfort TV so I am in my comfy chair watching RiffTrax A Talking Cat!?! Which I have seen many, many times.
Poe: you know, many say that moby dick is cosmic horror
Lovecraft: what? no it's not!
Lovecraft: it's about a whale!
Herman Melville: it's not about a whale
Melville: it's about how i'm going to attack and dethrone god

The good news is the median lifespan for dogs with this disease is well over 2 years. The bad news is 30% of dogs who have it die within 6 months. Which would still be much better than what I was expecting
I went there once on a lark because I’d spent so long in H Mart I got a headache and they were right next door and I thought the caffeine in a black tea boba drink would help, and dang it was so good!! Now it’s a special trip if I have a reason to be out that way
I will 🥰
Me too :) she’s not out of the woods but at least we have a path forward
A beagle mix dog lying on a fleece blanket on a human bed. She is looking up at the camera with a curious expression. Her left front leg has a band where the fur is missing because it was shaved for a blood draw. Actually three of her legs look like that but only one is visible in the photo
Coco has been ill and after many many tests over the past few weeks, found out today she most likely has precursor IMHA. I shouldn’t be happy about this, it’s a serious disease with a high mortality rate, but the other theory was bone marrow cancer which would have been much worse.
WOW! What an interesting concept for a game. I hope you’re going to review it!
ha! Living close to H Mart and Tiger Sugar (and the good Indian restaurants & groceries) would definitely be the best part of living in Cary
So good!! It’s probably good for me that it’s too far away to go there more than a couple times a year 🤣
Dear god. This happened right up the road from me. We heard the sirens, so many sirens, didn’t know what had happened. That road is so unsafe, winding with no shoulder and people drive so fast. 15 years old. My god.
My hand holding a boba tea from Tiger Sugar in Cary
Rest of my errands this morning were much better. Returned stuff to Duluth Trading, went to H Mart and bought all the things, treated myself to a boba tea from Tiger Sugar which has the best bobo I’ve had in the area but it’s so far I almost never go. Now I’m waiting for lunch takeout then done!
My hand holding a small stack of CDs with reviews taped to the front. There is a sticky note with FOR BACKFILL written on it, on the top CD in the stack. In the background is a locked door.
I have the day off to run errands and errand #1 is a complete bust: dropping off review CDs at the station and I forgot my badge! The info desk can let me in but they aren’t open yet! Dang. Here’s hoping the rest of the morning goes better
Ahh bummer, 1-2 player is pretty much all I do now :( Maybe someday!
That looks really interesting!
Just finished episode 1 and wow, it’s a wild ride!!
tbh I was reluctant to watch For All Mankind because I love the documentary so much, and I didn’t want the series to compromise that if I didn’t like it. But @wordnerdy.bsky.social gave it enough of an endorsement that I’m giving it a try!
Me holding up a quilt with a geometric, kind of Saul Bass-esque pattern
Thank you!!!
My legs under a lap quilt. Next to me an iPad is showing the introductory scenes of episode 1 of For All Mankind. I. The background is a dog
I thought we were done with lap blanket weather until fall but we have a couple of chilly days! I’ve got my quilt and I’m watching For All
Mankind! We’ll see how much I can get through before our Apple TV trial runs out

I thought pollen season was over but I did some yardwork this morning and 15 minutes in started sneezing :(
A small columbine plant with red and yellow flowers
Native columbine! I need to plant more of these 🌱 #NativePlants
Thank you!!!
A six layer cake, each layer is brightly colored to form the Pride rainbow
An enamel pin shaped like the rainbow cake
@wordnerdy.bsky.social @hartsea.bsky.social this is the rainbow cake we had in Chicago! At a bakery called Jennivee. (Not my photo, we just had a slice) G secretly went back and got this pin for my Xmas stocking that year 😍
