A few other flights appear to have diverted to AAN, including FDB1304 and FDB1690.

My guess, based on their path, is that they diverted to Al Ain International Airport for low fuel after holding to get into DXB, then dropped off flight tracking because the coverage just isn't as good as around Dubai.

They have a 13,123 ft runway at AAN, plenty for an A380.

And we'll take a cup o' kindness yet, for auld lang syne.
