In 2024, after I was contacted to be a part of the BBC's 'The War Games In Colour' project, I was asked to provide some classic series clips of the Daleks and the Rani, but in HD WIDESCREEN. Here's some comparisons. Enjoy!

A long time coming, but lived up to expectations! Really nice how much it plays into the mystery of Fugitive’s placement. Works well as pre-Hartnell (even hinting at an explanation for the police box), but the portrayal of her lost memory could even suggest a future incarnation.
And here's the images I sourced to create the composite. Richard E Grant's head from Star Wars, a bit of Pertwee's cape, and this guy's clothes (whatever his name was) from The Snowmen.
Ever since 'Rogue' canonised the Shalka Doctor this year, I've been wanting to create a live-action promo image of Richard E Grant to place in the line-up, given that none actually exist.

Now that we've had season 25 released with new FX for every story, I'd love to see them do the same for season 7. I wonder if the budget would allow for updating all 4 stories, because they mostly look good; there's just a few bad FX shots in each (mainly bad CSO).
…can always just use the excuse that the TARDIS console room tended to shift around a bit between episodes in classic Who anyway, and so you can imagine it just shifted around a little bit while the Doctor was on trial 😅
No-one ever asked me to, but I did consider it myself momentarily. I deemed though it would just be way too difficult. There are multiple shots with the time rotor moving up and down in front of backdrops that would need to be changed completely, and it would have been a rotoscoping nightmare. We…

Thank you Rich. I just watched the latest render of this project the other day and I’m in awe of the work you and the guys have done for the colourisation. You keep outdoing yourself, well done. Fans are gonna love it!
Of course, it required me to make a few adjustments - but the edit itself, the colourisation work & surround sound mix raises a fantastic story to a whole new level.
On a side note: my involvement in this may have lead to some other things I can’t quite talk about yet 🤫

Big Finish basically have a blank canvas for adding pre-Delgado Masters.
So far they’ve done
- 1 between Roberts/Jacobi
- 1 from another universe
- a transphobe who’s been fired
- a child incarnation who’s appeared once
Can’t help but think there are bigger possibilities here.
One of my favourite tropes in Doctor Who (or any sci-fi really), is when we get a nice monster POV shot, in which the production team has decided for no reason that their vision is absolute shit.
