Evergreen reminder this 420: No one should be in prison for weed.
(let's try this again, this time with grammar):
To echo my husband's post -- Zhenya's Wonder Tales is a great no-prep four-person ttrpg that takes a couple of hours and leans hard into emotional stakes. It was a perfect game for a limited time period and enthusiastically tragic play.
HEY! Did you know I’m currently Kickstarting Ballad Hunters with @pelgranepress.bsky.social, and it’s the best #TTRPG in history?*
*For the subset of RPGs that are about parsing the text of traditional English and Scottish ballads
Renewables generated over a third of US electricity in March 2026 for the first time, surpassing gas as wind and solar reached a record 26% combined share. The milestone reflects rapid structural growth, especially in solar. Ember buff.ly/XdDNJ1F

Apparently I need to update my Seattle Seasons chart.
ICE had 6 fucking vehicles at my local courthouse in Massachusetts this morning. They're here and they're terrorizing people. Just because the tactics have changed doesn't mean their impact on our communities has changed.
The Massachusetts Senate needs to pass the PROTECT Act ASAP.

The cover of Crossroads: Folk Horror in the United States, Issue 1 (plus a black mailer with a happy ghost sticker)
It came! @innocence.com and I are terribly excited to dive into Issue 1!
(Very cute ghost sticker on the envelope, @crossroadsfolk.bsky.social)
I have no intention of shopping at Target again, but boy this clinches it beyond all the reasons I already found important:
Another morning of ICE sightings happening around Chicagoland and the northwest burbs as yes, they are still here, operating under the surface as they were before Bovino's spectacle.
what about blockading the strait of hormuz? It's already blockaded It's been blockaded once, yes. What about second blockade?
This is the culmination of SIXTEEN YEARS of dogged work by everyday Hungarians.
You think that felt hopeless sometimes? I'm sure it did.

It took me years to understand that this too, was a gift.”

Post from Dale Partridge claiming nobody wants to live in diverse neighborhoods
I quite happily live in a neighborhood where most people do not share my religion, where multiple languages are represented, and where people have come from a lot of different countries.
Bigoted assholes always assume everyone else actually shares their bigotries.
No shade to the OP for admitting this, but it shocks me that people my age don’t know this.
You fundamentally cannot understand how the world functions, how power works, if you don’t know history.
Quixotic quest completed!
Good times, vines and heretics and goo and synth and all! Thanks, #folkhorrorfriday crew!
Brilliant 😍
I do love a sun-drenched horror movie, though this is more dappled and filtered. Still, there’s a great folk horror feel to summertime sun. #folkhorrorfriday
I love Magpie as a name, btw, given the bird in British myth. One for sorrow! #folkhorrorfriday
Yeah, the different levels of potential mania and delusion are fascinating. Plus, y’know, Beast. #folkhorrorfriday
Yeah! The looming black stone walls are fascinating too.
Jodhi May is chilling in the Kate Dickie role, but my Gen X self keeps seeing her as the younger sister in the Last of the Mohicans. Film brain is film brain! #folkhorrorfriday
I’d buy that. The decor and clothes are ambiguous - it’s like someone’s idea of olde-time. Could just be budget, but I like ascribing things to story first. #folkhorrorfriday
I couldn’t tell either!
I’n enjoying the sound design in this - just discordant enough to be jarring without being intrusive. #folkhorrorfriday
The ferocity of the sun backlighting these characters is great. Not warm, not friendly, just wild. #folkhorrorfriday
Okay, this is a strong, dreamy opener. Between that and Tony Stephens, I’m excited. #folkhorrorfriday
I know you’ve already hit subscribe, but echoing my love for Shudder. Good selection, intelligent documentaries, recommended!
