RAND PAUL: If a country bombed our air defense missiles, captured & removed our president, & blockaded our country, would that be considered an act of war?
RUBIO: We just don't believe this operation comes anywhere close to the constitutional definition
PAUL: Of course it would be an act of war!

KNOW YOUR RIGHTS
(You could be in a court room some day)
Over the last few years, when juries have heard evidence of why people have taken direct action to advance climate or racial justice, or to stop genocide in Gaza, they have repeatedly found the accused not guilty.
DROP THE CHARGES
Next Monday, 32 people are scheduled to make their first appearance at Westminster Magistrates' Court.
They have been charged with a terror-related offence for holding placards supporting Palestine Action at a demonstration last August.

On February 3rd 1962, the U.S. officially imposed a criminal blockade on Cuba.
64 years later, the U.S. is still trying to starve Cuba into submission.
Q: Will you be recognizing Delcy Rodríguez's government as the official government of Venezuela?
TRUMP: We have done that. We're dealing with them. They've done a great job. The oil is coming out and a lot of money is being paid.

When hit, Galena will break along three directions of weakness that meet at right angles, creating smaller cubes. Galena’s hardness is similar to that of a fingernail.

Messy enough to create a diverse range of chemical interactions between the different tectonic areas.
Chemical interactions that could have well created the right conditions for early life to start and develop.

Now, scientists have found that different tectonic regions were doing different things, contrary to the notion that there was tectonic uniformity globally. It was messy and varied from parts of the planet having a stable crust, to others with signs of early plate-like movement.
This is key to getting an understanding of early Earth. Given that no early rocks are available from Earth’s first billion years, zircons from the oldest rocks are the only of looking into that era.
Zircons are a geoscientist’s time capsule or a kind of black box. These tough minerals, although minuscule, have survived for billions of years and have locked in chemical signatures from when they formed.

Early Earth ran multiple "operating systems", before settling for the tectonic activity that we know today.
Nothing is set in stone, or in this case, zircons. Or is it?
Latest research, (see link below), is rewriting our understanding of how Earth's crust behaved 3.6-4 billion years ago.
Triangle with each of the corners labeled. The top corner says people who like camping the left corner says lab rats in the right corner says computer gates. Different areas are marked for different GS scientist. There is a picture of a woman halfway between people who like to camp and lab rats.

🇲🇽 🇨🇺 Mexico has dispatched two Navy logistics ships from Veracruz to Cuba carrying more than 814 tons of humanitarian aid for civilians, under orders from President Claudia Sheinbaum. The shipment includes staple foods and hygiene supplies, with the Papaloapan transporting mixed goods and the Isla Holbox carrying powdered milk. The vessels are due to arrive in about four days. Mexican authorities said another 1,500 tons of powdered milk and beans are slated for future delivery, describing the operation as part of Mexico’s ongoing humanitarian support to Cuba in a statement.

1/ ProPublica collected handwritten letters in mid-January from children held at the Dilley Immigration Processing Center, the same facility where 5-year-old Liam Conejo Ramos was taken.
Hundreds of kids are still detained.
We’ll let the children’s words speak for themselves. 🧵
A bit of humour maybe, the photo shows tle petit train jaune, which goes through a bit of the French Pyrenees. Nice photo, but why not a TGV, which does go between cities.

Israeli forces bulldozed part of the Gaza War Cemetery in eastern Gaza City, destroying sections containing the graves of more than 100 British, Australian, Polish, and other allied soldiers from World War I and II, according to satellite imagery and witness testimony reported by The Guardian. Images show flattened grave sections, removed headstones, and earth berms consistent with heavy machinery. Israel said the area was an active combat zone and claimed “defensive measures” were taken to neutralize alleged Hamas fighters and underground Hamas infrastructure. The Commonwealth War Graves Commission confirmed extensive damage to memorials and grave sections, calling the destruction deeply troubling.
