Lucin, Utah is where it is from. It is nearly identical to turquoise except for the trace metals that give it its color. Turquoise is colored by copper and or iron. I think variscite is colored by traces of aluminum
I have not been doing much the last couple of years due to health issues, other than my books (I have one jewelry and 4 novels). Will get jewelry posted online eventually, but need to get everything cleaned up and photographed. This is my work

Yes! Lucia variscite! It is related to turquoise. I’ve been cleaning mud covered rocks that I salvaged from my jewelry/lapidary studio. That was in a batch I rinsed today! Had to salvage a couple thousand pounds of material plus tools and equipment from the mud after Helene floods.
