The first time was Orange Cassidy changing the content on his stream bc the lights on it were a seizure trigger.
Today Anthony Bowens asked about alt-text when I mentioned it.
My heart is happy. So often you meet your heroes and it's a disappointment.
Not today.

Twice now I have had convos with AEW wrestlers about making their content more accessible, and both times they have shown genuine love and interest.
Honestly speaks well of the roster that the people on it care this much.
in Settings>Accessibility.
You can keep it simple if you want, like "Anthony Bowens looking fly in a pinstripe suit" or add more detail if you want to and have the time!
You'll be making it so more fans can enjoy your posts, and showing love to the disabled community. ♥
Alt-text is text that describes the image you posted so that people who use screen readers (usually people with impaired vision, but sometimes other reasons) can 'see' the image through the description!
You can add it by hitting '+alt' in the corner of the image, and you can add a reminder... 1/2
@bowensofficial.bsky.social Remember that alt-text means that more people can enjoy your pics! Happy to give info about alt-text if you're unfamiliar.

Time to make some magic, y'all.
Here's a lovely photo of Dorble Dorble. He's a fabric art purple creature. He's purple with bulbous wide set eyes, a wide frown with sharp teeth, and two tentacles of different sizes. His longer tentacle is curled around his eye. His head is wider than his body. He's rather amorphous. There's a beautiful marbled paper in the background.
Here's another lovely photo of Dorble where he's resting on my palm.
Here's another lovely photo of Dorble with one tentacle curled upward and one curled downward.
Meet my newest fabric art creature: Dorble Dorble the Semi-Magnificent. I designed him, hand-sewed his eyelids and mouth, and I machine-sewed his outer edges. Dorble Dorble strives to become semi-magnificent in all things.

Charlotte (cat) has commandeered my heating pad.
22 years ago I asked what day it was and sighed when I realized it meant I would be having a 4/20 baby.
I suppose I can consider it the ultimate tribute to my mom, a hippie born just a few years too late.
Wish I could smoke a doob (her words) with both of them today.
I posted this and then my razor fell out of the shower, bounced, and landed in the toilet.

The latter half of April is proving to have pure chaos energy.
That sounds really frustrating!
Would like to be able to stay awake for more than 8 hours at a time.
Hey! Good news! My rent should be covered this month and I'll hopefully be getting a windfall that'll keep us covered for a few months afterwards. Until then, my wife and I could still use help affording groceries and bills!
Feels really good to have local friends. They are also disabled and they mask, so we can hang out unmasked at their home and not worry; and I don't have to constantly explain or apologize for my illnesses.
Hoping we can move soon so we'll be a lot closer!
Sora and I did "Here I go Again" (Whitesnake) and it was pretty amazing to have this kind of first (karaoke duet) after 10 years together (this month!).
Very tired now, but it was all so worth it.
The first song I sang was "Kiss Me" (SNTR) which I somehow nailed and gave me confidence for the rest of the night.
Duet w/my friend to "I Got You Babe" (Sonny & Cher) where I feel like I did not let my friend down. Even managed to get some of that special deep resonance Cher is known for.
Saturday night my friend hosted a karaoke party for their birthday. Had an absolute blast!
Somehow managed to get over my stage-fright and even did duets with said friend, and one with Sora!
Slept most of Sunday to recover from a very social Saturday. I think I need new mitochondria.
I have some PYREX and some pyrex, but thankfully none of the new stuff.
Managed to snag some of the vintage glassware that you can use on the stovetop a couple years back, which is pretty fun!
I have some atomic pattern glasbake, too, which I treasure. Vintage glassware and bakeware are so fun.
Begging the neighbor to watch her kids so I don't have to parent them just to keep them from breaking my window.
Please send me all the pineapple ones. Thank you. ♥
Had a lab tech rip a finger off her glove while trying to draw a lab on me. I pulled back and told her that that wasn't safe for her or for me bc BODILY FLUIDS. Her coworkers finally spoke up and said yea, it's against policy.
Never had a needle jabbed so deep during a draw. Actually injured me.
Happy Name Day!!!
PYREX vs pyrex vs new pyrex
(borosilicate vs tempered vs something that explodes easily)
Thank you. It was really bad and fucked me up. Made me really careful about telling people to just go to therapy.
Really hard to find not just a good therapist, but the right one who also takes your insurance and has training to meet your needs.
One bad one can destroy you then bill you for it!
My BP at ketamine treatment has to be below 155/100 to start. After talking to the Dr. my BP spikes every single time.
Staff are convinced the machine isn't working bc my BP will go from being 187/96 to 136/87 with only a few minutes of dissociating and controlled breathing.
Oops.
Thinking of the therapist who yelled at me for fidgeting with the crayons on the table in front of me. Literally yelled. "Those are for kids!"
I fidget when I'm anxious.
She also did zero therapy. We spent countless sessions on "breathing exercises" while she caught up on paperwork.
Turns out she was talking about herself. She didn't like that I was approved for SSDI. She lied so the clinic would let her fire me shortly after.
I didn't begin to heal until the clinic's psychiatrist told me she was wrong.
He was one of the good ones.

A bad therapist had ALL my trust. Then I became disabled. She -shattered- me.
"If you want help you should pretend to be less sick than you are so people will want to help you." I sat in her office snot crying bc it was so painful to hear that, and I believed her.
