Poster for the series Dark Winds
Today is a good day to again remind folks to watch the Indigenous thriller series DARK WINDS on AMC+. Executive produced by Robert Redford and George R.R. Martin (who have cameos in s3!) it stars Zahn McClarnon in an awards worthy leading performance. I love this series and can't recommend enough. 📺
Legacy media is literally caping for white supremacy now. Quoting the man they’re venerating, whose proud life’s work was disparaging marginalized groups, is officially a firing offense, but calling for the homeless to be euthanized is not. Wild.

Here’s a summary of events so far this year, including yesterday’s big ugly bill passing.
A crow stands with slightly fluffed feathers after having spent 5 minutes grooming his mate.
The weekend is here and I will be busy. Thanks for your engagement and more. Here is an image of a crow immediately after he stopped grooming his mate. I call this, The Crow with a Smile. Have a great weekend.

The Women going to the Sepulchre, 1912, Robert Anning Bell Painting of women in blue garments walking leftward, one woman, and then five behind her, on a flat plain, hazy sky ....
Thanks to my friend Harriet for pointing out that the women went to Christ's tomb and saw he was not there, the angels showed up to describe what happened, & the women then told the apostles, who dismissed them. A Biblical account of women not being believed.

The pope was a strong advocate for the poor and the environment and a towering figure on the world stage, addressing not just Catholics but the men and women of our time.
Elon is upset that the public is staying informed. So many threats from him lately. We are public servants, not Elon servants.

Soo… how about I just found out that BLOOD JUSTICE is a finalist for the Locus Award for Best Young Adult Novel! 🤯🥹 This is a monumental moment for me because I worked soo hard on this story, and I’m very proud of it. It’s the most important thing I’ve written yet.
so, see how bernie is passing the torch to the younger generation? see how he's creating space for AOC by using his name, then allowing her to lead? see how SOME older people act like caring elders, and others act like half-dead, out-of-touch narcissistic control freaks?
be more like bernie.
Trump is targeting law firms that defend federal employees, expanding his campaign of retaliation against lawyers he opposes. A new memorandum threatens to use government power to punish any firm that, in his view, unfairly challenges his administration.
For folks who don’t know, ethnic studies programs like African American/Africana Studies, Asian American Studies, Chicano Studies and the like come directly from civil right era campus activism. Attempts to disempower such programs should be framed as attacks on civil rights same as much else rn.
Arlington National Cemetery has scrubbed information about prominent Black, Hispanic and female service members and topics such as the Civil War from its website, part of an effort across the Defense Department to remove all references to diversity, equity and inclusion from its online presence.
Those of us who were invited by the gov as experts to be consulted on the blocker ban literally said all this was happening. Our input was dismissed as 'anecdotal evidence'.
